We did SCCCA 2 summers in a row. Loved it because of the time and lunch option.  Drop off as early as 8 and pickup as late as 6:30 pm.  Hot lunch is also available for purchase.  I believe it was $6 a day for hot asian lunch.  As for chinese instruction, we were pleased with it.

Have you tried Seoul Haus on Trabuco/Yale (next to liquor store)? Better than Tang 190 in terms of food and service!

Happy Birthday Irvinemommy31! Trust me, the first graders in my child's combo class were far from being behind his/her grade level.  From what I can tell, they were all academically advanced and great independent learners. I would take it as a compliment that your son was chosen for the combo class.
