Tragic shooting in San Bernardino

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I think the Donald would make a great president.  Trump talks about barring Muslim immigration, etc., but it can't happen and we all know that.  It's just talk.  Jeb Bush and Hillary are just two sides of the same coin, a vote for that kind of candidate is voting for business as usual.  If you want something different, you need a Trump, or Sanders, or Rand Paul.

Of course not, but these are not citizens...those trying to come who are not citizens have no constitutional rights. We can't give non -citizens US rights.  Just hold them off for a little while till we can figure out a way to properly vet them. Clearly the current system is not working

I agree, the current system has failed. But banning only Muslim immigrants is NOT the answer. If you say ban ALL immigrants, then that makes more sense. You also realize, the Paris attackers were EU citizens and were trained in Syria. Banning Muslim immigrants would NOT stop US citizens from returning to the US after training in Syria.

I would support that...ban ALL, at least temporarily.  It is not wakadoodle, its common sense.

that could put destroy tourism (among others) and put a big strain on the economy.

I think we should start being less politically correct and allow ordinary citizens, authorities and law enforcers to make judgement calls in reporting/arresting suspicious activities without the fear of being accused of racism and getting sued for $15M.

It's funny (well, actually kind of scary) how so many are jumping on the fascist bandwagon and calling it common sense ....

It's actually scarier how our political leaders and decision makers are losing their common sense to be politically correct and not offend anybody.

I am too lazy to go back and look at all the comments but if you think restrict entry into the US based upon a person's religion is constitutional, I suggest you ask a constitutional scholar about that.

That's beyond that moral and ethical issues that it clearly crosses.  I don't know what is meant by the current system is not working...the SB shooter was an American citizen who married a Pakastani national...I don't know what that has to do with restricting all Muslims.

I don't even know how you enforce such a ban...you think terrorists are stupid enough to confess to being a Muslim if they are coming in the country to destroy it?

A great president?  A person who is completely reactionary, has no concern about facts or reality, who ostracizes entire segments of the population just to pander to his base, a person who restricts the press, and provides vague promises based upon nothing?

I thought Sarah Palin was bad...Trump is a lot worse.

No thanks.

Please be clear that I've long maintained that The Donald is a fugitive from Rodeo Clown School. If anyone asks, I stand with Rand - who admittedly has a .00001 chance of winning.

That said, a pause in outside immigration - as DT is recommending - is starting to occur, only not in such indelicately phrased terms.

What The Donald wants will never happen in one fell swoop. It might happen by the old "boiling the frog" method - incrementally closing one door after another. We didn't become a Surveillance State overnight. Neither will our borders close immediately upon The Donald ascending to the throne.

Again with "political correct". That is an antiquated term that these days only serves to identify regular consumers of right-wing talking points. This term has almost completely fallen our of favor outside of that echo chamber.

Of course Rand wants to monitor who speaks Arabic.

Every candidate has their issues. No doubt about it.

Anyone believing we're not already monitoring these conversations should call me today. I've got a 4 br SFR on an 8,000 SF lot in Turtle Rock to sell for $300,000. Willing Seller. Price negotiable....

Oh I agree about the monitoring...I just thought it was interesting coming from Rand Paul who makes the NSA and spying a big part of his platform.  He is basically saying...4th amendment is only good for people I like.

Unfortunately this go round, everyone has a dirty shirt. It's going to be a "hold your nose" affair come November 2016. Peace out.

I'm for the following:

Sending Asians back to their countries, blacks back to Africa and whites back to Europe. That way is Mexicans stay behind and California and reclaim what is rightfully ours.

I'm surprised, no one on TI has talked about Enrique.

So far the little info and cooperation makes him seem more like the dupe than the accomplice, IMHO.  I reserve the right to change that opinion.

I guess you are not up to date with the investigation. Maybe since he is Latino, or maybe you think he has nothing to do with this.

I think so far he seems more like the tag along trying to endear himself to his few real friends than a terrorist mastermind.

Yep, he bought guns, so did the Sandy Hook mom.  Yep he talked smack with the shooter.  Yep he "converted" to Islam.  Yep he potentially has a sham marriage and J1 visa Russian bride to the older brothers wife's sister. Dreamed of getting in shape and enlisting in navy like the older brother.

Are you starting to see the puppy pattern?

A rabid puppy, but still a puppy. And sadly rabid.

I respectfully disagree.  Our ridiculous attempt at zero tolerance for offending anyone in the slightest is dangerous.  I don't want to get into a totally tangent discussion here but I will throw out just one example of "PC" gone mad and leave it at that...

LVC students seek name change from Lynch Hall

ANNVILLE ? Students at a Lebanon County college are demanding that administrators rename a building called ?Lynch Memorial Hall? because of the racial overtones of the word ?lynch.?

The building is named after Clyde A. Lynch, who was president of Lebanon Valley College from 1932 until his death in 1950.

Students want school officials to either rename the building entirely or add Lynch?s first name and middle initial, saying the word recalls the public executions of black men by white mobs in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
