March Madness

[quote author="skek" date=1237626867]Indeed, there's a long way to go and anyone (glances at cayci and Peter), well, almost anyone can still win this thing. Still, I had to give you crap over your smack talk last night. We're even. This is going to be a great weekend...enjoy everyone!</blockquote>

Skek!! I just noticed you glancing over at me and Cayci when you said that!!

What happened???

:shut:

[quote author="skek" date=1237638131]Wow! Carnage! The night games crushed my chances at a perfect day (I went 1-3), but what a great evening of basketball. Siena has some heart, and Cleveland State knocking off Wake Forest? Are you kidding me? Great games, and fortunately, I don't seem to have lost any ground despite my last minute collapse.

My Arizona pick for the Sweet 16 is looking pretty good right about now. And I bet W Kentucky knocks off the Zags this weekend.</blockquote>

Wake has never been the same since the loss of Prosser, and since CP left for the NBA. I wish that were not the case, and because I hope they can recover from the loss of Prosser, that is why I will I always support them. I hope... I really hope their program recovers soon. At least they have their golf program in the mean time. Is there a bracketology for golf?

Anyway, I regret underestimating AZ, as they have served me well for years... during the Lute Olson era, but I haven't given up on my Zags yet. Who will be buying lunch next time? Even if W Kentucky has been a surprise for me before...

Still alive here! The Purdue win helped a little bit today. Duke isn't looking so good, though, I've got them in the final four. I'm actually looking more at the possible points and Skek, you are ahead of me despite your standing.

You guys are tough, my perfect day today actually put me at the top of the work pool. At least that one is for real money ;-)

Go WILDCATS!... But somehow I get a bad feeling for tomorrow. We will see.... I got a chance to meet Lute more than a few times as well Luke Walton (and VERY cute GF - at least at that time). Anyways we will see.

[quote author="skek" date=1237715254]Gonzaga killed me. I needed that W Kentucky upset. Congrats usc, another dominating day. And I noticed that tmare is rocketing up the standings! Well done!

If you still have all your final four picks, you are still alive!</blockquote>
I was sweating the Purdue and Gongzaga games but they pulled there. The cream will rise to the top once we get into the Elite Eight. Since I'm really a Brojan I'm used to pullin for UCLA over USC in basketball season but I guess I should pull for USC now, even at the expense of my pick.

UConn's going to take it all ! Men AND Women's.

[quote author="skek" date=1237781314]Be careful, trojanman, CK is on your tail. He's knocking the second round out of the park. Bad for me because we both have NC winning it all.

Arizona comes through. Next up -- I need a minor upset with Marquette over Mizzou.</blockquote>
I know, not having AZ or Xavier in the sweet 16 are hurting me a bit. I think NC goes down to the eventually champ.

I'm with you on that one skek....I've got Marquette --- but with the good news those nice Wisconsin boys got this morning, I think a victory might be in store. And if I'm reading his bracket correct, I think a Marq win puts me in front of trojanman...for now!

Check this sorry situation out, I'll have to go upstairs to watch the USC game in the bedroom --- I got booted off the big screen by a trio of 5 year old girls who were demanding to watch Wow Wow Wubzy in full surround sound....Man, I feel like my man-card just got revoked.

Hey, I'd kill to just be able to retreat to my room to watch a little basketball. I have to settle for playing board games and glancing at the TV from time to time while I try to occupy two little ones.

[quote author="CK" date=1237784985]Uh, yeah, all that big talk about Marquette giving me the lead....uh, nevermind about that...</blockquote>
Looks like Mizzuo got things under control. I kinda almost want USC to win so I dont have to stress over Kansas playing MSU next week. It's a great game (MSU vs. USC), just wish they showed the USC cheerleaders more. haha
