Had several clients and friends up there this year. I’m certainly not in that class of buyer but my search for this truck is national. Like any investment, you have to be patient and buy it right. I’ll find it eventually.

I’ve already explained to you that EV drivetrain is superior to ICE in both efficiency and tech. The biggest knock against EVs is range and charging infrastructure.

An ICE engine takes care of that. Unlike traditional hybrids or plug-ins, since the ICE engine doesn’t have to drive the wheels, you don’t have to worry about a transmission, gears, etc… which makes it less maintenance than ICE and hybrids (although more than EVs).

There is also the efficiency of a constant speed engine (since it’s just charging the battery).

EREV is actually very interesting depending on how it’s implemented. The Scout EREV SUV plans to put the ICE engine under the cargo space so that it can still have a frunk for additional storage.

I would definitely get an EREV over a hybrid or PHEV if I had to get something with an ICE engine. But I’m sticking with EVs, and unlike OC2SV, I do not think Tesla will be the only one left. FSD is great but not the main benefit of EV driving.

Tradeoffs just not worth it. Stick a nice high power/efficient ICE engine in there…half price, half weight, efficient, powerful and affordable…problem solved
