Where is the good pizza in Irvine ?

I second First Class Pizza. They also serve really good hot sandwiches and a few good pasta dishes.

It's in the new Woodbury shopping center.
 
My vote is for First Class Pizza. There's also a location at the Tustin Marketplace, by Ralph's. It's not a pizza parlor though (just takeout and maybe delivery).
 
Mmmm Italian. Another vote for Peppino`s in Lake Forest. I love that place. It isn't Irvine but almost.

Gina's is OK on Thursdays when the pitchers are only $5.
 
My family misses Northwood Pizza. We moved to the SF bay area due to job relo but misses Irvine and we'll be back (someday, when prices drop to what we sold our Westpark house for.)
 
That is so weird, I like the Bay Area more than Irvine (more real). They have great pizzas in the Bay Area. . .Zachary's in Oakland, Fat Slices in Berkeley, Amici in SF. . . Uno's in Oakland.

BTW: Chicago v. New York? I like Chicago myself. . .I went to Lombardi's in NYC and was very disappointed. Gino's East is Chicago was everything it was cracked up to be.
 
IrvineCommuter: have you tried Pizza-A-Go-Go? It's like in Palo Alto ...

The t-shirts are popular with the HS kids.

There's a place in the bay area (mtn view) - Ontillo's. BEST CHEESE BREAD EVER AND THE DIPPING SAUCE.. DROOOOL.

IC - Zachary's in Rockridge/Oakland is awesome. Just make sure you go about two hours before you want to eat. It is by far one of the busiest pizza places I have ever been too. If you go up there be sure to go to A Cote in Rockridge. Just phenomenal food with a small but well selected wine list. Gluttony at it's finest there.

Oggi's has got some good pizza. They're not quite in Irvine, but the location in Tustin is pretty close by. Be sure to check out the Italian Stallion. And bring your appetite, cuz their pies are very filling.

i like peppino's on rockfield and johnnie's in the orchard hills shopping center. i used to go to northwoods all the time but haven't been there in a long time, the quality of the pizza's was inconsistent, sometimes really good sometimes just okay.
 
Being the thin crust pizza lovers that we are, our favorites in Irvine are Round Table (but only the one on Alton & Culver), Ray's, and Gina's. If we're going to step outside the beloved city, we like Empanada Man in Lake Forest, Pizza Dude in Mission Viejo and Julio's in Artesia. When in the bay area, Cicero's in Cupertino is a MUST. Try the pizza with the Frank's Hot Sauce - DEEEEEElicious!

We eat a lot of pizza. :down: 8-/ :) :-) :cheese:

I've had pizza there and it was surprisingly good (thin-crust style).

If you guys want to try something different, check out Pizza and Chicken Love Letter at 8891 Garden Grove Blvd, GG. The fried chicken there isn't that good, but the specialty pizza is quite interesting.

Try the "sweet potato" pizza. Very tasty filling.
 
I have heard good things about Ray's, but have never been. I really like Gina's on Campus, they also have a location in CDM. The thin crust is significantly better than the regular.
