You know who else aren't police officers? FBI Agents. ICE and FBI Agents are "Sworn Law Enforcement Agents" who enforce national laws, not State or local municipality laws. Sheriffs aren't necessarily "Police officers" either as they enforce unincorporated areas, although sometimes are contracted by municipalities to enforce local laws. All of these groups have "Police powers" - assisting in policing whenever needed.
ICE agents typically have backgrounds in law enforcement, military service, or criminal justice, often holding bachelor’s degrees, though not strictly required for all positions. Candidates must be U.S. citizens aged 21-37, pass rigorous background investigations, and undergo 22 weeks of training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center
Its easy to say they "may not have received the type of training, or may not have the mentality to deal with these type of community situations", but that's just lazy thinking, unsupported by verifiable facts. Officers are always put on paid leave when investigating a shoot.
Putting body cams on officers usually works to their benefit during investigations. Police all support that policy.
Masking will remain necessary while these insurrectionists keep trying to dox law enforcement.

Then the police departments should be allowed to assist with crowd control. These deaths may not have happened if local leaders had let the police do their jobs.

I didn't say race was a factor. And border patrol experience may not translate to proper public community de-escalation skills.
2 things should make you realize this may have been excessive force:
- They have been put on leave
- Federal officers in MN are going to have bodycams
