President Trump

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I'm guessing the DOGE cuts were planned as an offset to the BBB increases. DOGE cuts can still reach $1T if everything is implemented, but these nationwide injunctions have to wind their way to SCOTUS first.

The Coppertone Caligula and Musk each have each other by the short and curly's here. Musk needs the Federal EV credits, along with the currently untouched transferrable pollution credits, to make Tesla profitable, and The Donald (really, every American) needs SpaceX's rocketry to service everything space.

Too bad this whole thing has devolved into a televised dick measuring contest. It was also completely predictable to happen (should have trusted the voice of @IHO on this one....) as well as completely avoidable.

Such as things are at the moment.

No one really needs anything space related. People watching too much "For All Mankind".

Trump doesn't need Elon.... and Elon just trying to repair his TSLA stock. Let's just hope he didn't get hold of some files via DOGE.

A great deal of commerce and communication are both highly dependent on the use of satellites. Imagine the havoc if some of our GPS satellites went offline in a solar storm.

The world is as dependent on satellites as it is on a functioning internet. (No, I'm not talking about Starlink, just the internet as a whole). Space access is vital Without the 70% or so of Falcon-9 launches SpaceX flies on behalf of the world, we all could see a much different way of life sooner rather than later.

If Musk (or Trump) really were to shut down SpaceX by cancelling contracts and exemptions, my guess is that Trump would then seize the company using some permutations of emergency national security laws.

As said by others - "may we live in interesting times"

@sgip: I am more referring to outer earth space. Earth space satellites have existed pre-Musk and can exist without him. Other companies already do that.

There is little value beyond earth space unless you want gold from an asteroid.

So much hyprocisy. Why no mention of the LA protests and the Federal mobilizing of National Guard? How is this different than Jan 6? I'm sure morekaos will say he's just kidding but this does look like a biased response.

And yes, I think all these lawsuits being filed by Cali against Fed is a waste.

Winnning!!! TRO’s are for losers…😂😂👍🏽🇺🇸

Trump Is Racking Up Court Victories

Despite delusions of grandeur at the district court level the White House is winning.

While mainstream news outlets, cable networks and social media obsess over Elon Musk’s latest antics, they have neglected a far more important story — the Trump administration is accumulating a significant catalogue of appeals court and SCOTUS victories. Last Friday alone three more wins were added to the list. The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the White House may exclude AP from its press pool while SCOTUS stayed a district court order requiring DOGE to heed a Freedom of Information Act request and ruled that it can access Social Security Administration records.

These rulings follow a spate of similar wins last month. On May 30, the Supreme Court stayed a district court ruling that DHS Secretary Kristi Noem couldn’t revoke former President Biden’s parole of 532,000 non-citizens. On May 29, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit stayed a U.S. Trade Court ruling that President Trump’s tariffs are somehow unlawful. On May 22, SCOTUS stayed a district court order reinstating two Biden administration officials fired by Trump. On May 19, SCOTUS stayed a district court ruling that Secretary Noem does not possess the legal authority to terminate the temporary protected status of 350,000 Venezuelan non-citizens.

We all know the difference. Skin color. White people do this and it’s considered patriotic. Anyone else does it and it’s a crime against America.
Maybe, but it's also political. Newsom & Bass' political futures are going up in smoke. Trump is reinforcing the optic that they are doing nothing (which is true), and he is bringing attention to their statements attacking police and defending rioters on national television for everybody to see.

Huh…turns out …this is who we are!....😂😂😂👍🏽🇺🇸

CNN’s Harry Enten Says Trump’s Approval Rating on Immigration Has Surged “Like a Rocket”

A majority of Americans, 54% and 51%, approve of Trump’s mass deportations and of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents searching their communities to locate illegal immigrants, a CBS News poll released on Monday found. Enten added that a majority of Americans who are “directly connected” to the events going on in Los Angeles, California, approve of Trump’s actions to combat illegal immigration.

Rioters in Los Angeles burned cars, threw Molotov cocktails, fireworks, rocks and vandalized property with slogans like “KILL ICE.” Trump deployed 2,000 National Guard soldiers to Los Angeles, which sparked angry reactions from both Newsom and Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.

Americans believe that Democrats just “don’t have a clue” regarding the issue of immigration, Enten said. An Ipsos poll found that Republicans hold a 19-point lead among Democrats on the question of who voters trust more on immigration, while CNN and CBS News found that the party is leading on the issue by six points.

“No matter what poll you look at, no matter which way you cut it, the American public is with the Republicans [and] the American public is with Donald Trump and to a much greater extent than they were in term number one,” Enten said. “And it’s not just on the broad issue of immigration, but it’s on the specifics as well, in which the American public is with Donald Trump and the Republicans.”
