Palin will do anything for attention

I just read that too but opted for the hijack pic ;). I'm so mad at him for giving her this moment in the press. What a stupid, poorly planned joke.

Don't blame Dave for Palin being a political oppourtunist.

<a href="http://alaskareport.com/news39/x71260_late_sarah.htm">Top 10 reasons Palin's outrage is a little late.</a>

Here's a taste:

<blockquote>10) Last September, a skit on Saturday Night Live suggested incest in the Palin family. "What about the husband?" asked a mock Times reporter. "You know he's doing those daughters. I mean, come on. It's Alaska!" No outrage. Sarah Palin appeared on the show one month later in late October.</blockquote>

[quote author="trrenter" date=1245128048]We can agree to disagree.

It seems as though you and vas opinion is based on making Palin look like an idiot. quote]

The Media has done a great job making the Republicans look like idiots by splashing their missteps across the news on a regular basis.

We are all human beings and what is funny to me is when President Obama was on the View he asked a simple question about his reverend. His response was how would you feel if the five stupidest things you ever said were put into a 30 second spot and played over and over. That is what is happening to the Republicans.

Obama tries to use a window as a door.

<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3515/3233991117_22f1bfed5e_o.jpg" alt="" />

Obama banging his head.

<img src="http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/images/2009/02/10/obamahead2909ronedmondsap.jpg" alt="" />

President Obama Quote from a visit on Leno.

<blockquote>"I've been practicing bowling. I bowled a 129. It was like the Special Olympics or something."</blockquote>

Obama bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia at a G-20 meeting in London. (If Palin did this we would call her an idiot and use this to further the point)

Then there is the issue of President Obama almost always using a teleprompter. If that were a Republican candidate (or Palin) that needed a teleprompter almost every time they speak that would probably be used to prove they were stupid. Sure Palin is an idiot she can't even speak for herself she always uses a teleprompter, or she is such an idiot she can't remember a speech she has to read it off a teleprompter all the time.

None of these missteps by President Obama have been splashed across the headlines. Don't seem to be big news at all.

You can spin almost anything any way you want it doesn?t make it true.

<strong>Again I am not trying to say Obama is stupid but there seems to be a huge double standard as to how incidents and blunders are perceived based solely on what the party affiliation of the person making the mistake is.</strong>

Your still trying to act like the election never happened.

A majority of voters in this country have made the decision.

And for some reason you still want to banter about the players in that decision.

The Election is over. Republicans got slaughtered at the poles.

I know its all about the media. Fox News should be our only media outlet

thats authorized for viewing. All the rest is left wing propoganda.

Now as far as the Republicans doing stupid things. Just listen to Dick Cheney.

The stupid old fart should just keep his mouth shut. Again. Game over. Nobody cares.

Then we have Rush Limbaugh calling the supreme court nominee a Racist. Priceless.

For some reason all the Republicans have left is "The Base". Your basic bible thumping,

gun owning, anti abortion white middle aged voter who generally lives in the rural

parts of Southern Mid America.

Until the GOP starts looking at getting some fresh faces as far as voters.

The game will be over for a long time.

<blockquote>Your still trying to act like the election never happened.</blockquote>

Not true at all. I fully grasp that President Obama won th election

<blockquote>A majority of voters in this country have made the decision.

I didn't start the thread about Palin or Cheney but I do oppose some of the views presented.

I don't know that all the rest of the Media is left wing propoganda but they seem to skew left.

Like you pointed out to get a conservative view it would almost require you watch

fox news and if you do then you are deemd a right wing whacko and everything

they say on that channel is sour grapes.

<blockquote>Now as far as the Republicans doing stupid things. Just listen to Dick Cheney.

My point exactly both republicans and democrats do stupid things. Nobody is immune and

doing a stupid thing doesn't prove you an idiot.

<blockquote>Then we have Rush Limbaugh calling the supreme court nominee a Racist. Priceless.</blockquote>

<blockquote>?I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn?t lived that life.? </blockquote>

You know she may not be racist but this statement could be viewed as a racist statement.

<strong>?I would hope that a wise white male with the richness of his experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a Latina woman who hasn?t lived that life.? </strong> I switchted the latina woman with white male. I would think that many people would view this as a racist view point.

I am again not calling Sotomayor racist just that staement could be construed that way. It isn't a stretch to make that statement.

<blockquote>Until the GOP starts looking at getting some fresh faces as far as voters.

The game will be over for a long time. </blockquote>

I agree I think that Palin, Cheney, Rush will fade to the background sooner or later.

It would also help if they could get some coverage outside of Fox news and if anyone besides Fox news would run anything that was remotely critical of the Dems.

You're kidding, right?

I have today's NYTimes in front of me, and there are three articles critical of Dems articles on healthcare, Iran, and Isreal.

Maybe you are complaining that they aren't being as critical as the right wing wackjobs at Fox are of the Dems?

No I was exagerating. I should have said "it would also help if the main stream media was more unbiased then they are today. The Left and the democrats get ABC, NBC, CBS, Oprah, All except one of the woman on the view and etc.

The conservatives get Fox news and they are written of as right wing wack jobs.

Everyone makes mistakes.

There's a material difference between making mistakes when you speak/open doors and being cannon fodder because you truly are not qualified for the job. Hey, look! It's Sarah Palin ? unqualified, and unable to speak in complete sentences about stuff that isn?t trivial to the office she?s running for.

Lest anyone think I?m taking potshots at current/former female Mayors, here?s a candidate I know personally who is way more qualified that Sarah Palin for any elected office.

<a href="http://ashley4mayor.com/BIOGRAPHY/tabid/54/Default.aspx">http://ashley4mayor.com/BIOGRAPHY/tabid/54/Default.aspx</a>

Ashley won the election last fall, FWIW.

<blockquote>It's Sarah Palin ? unqualified, and unable to speak in complete sentences about stuff that isn?t trivial to the office she?s running for.</blockquote>

The great thing is McCains ticket with Palin as the VP was defeated by the Obama ticket so we don't have to worry. I have actully seen some interviews where Palin does speak in complete sentences about stuff that isn't trivial to the office she "RAN" for. She is no longer running for anything.

It appears as though the democrats had some concern on the VP candidate as well during the campaign. There was a hugely popular candidate that was being considered as a VP candidate.

<blockquote>After several days of Bill and Hillary Clinton floating the idea of a joint ticket with rival Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton chief spokesman Howard Wolfson declared Monday that Clinton does not consider Obama qualified to be vice president.

[...]

?We do not believe at this point that Sen. Obama has passed that key commander in chief test,? Wolfson said. Later, he added that failure to pass that his failure to pass that test would disqualify him as a vice presidential pick, since a vice president must be prepared to step into the presidency at a moment?s notice.

?Sen. Clinton will not choose any candidate who has not at the time of choosing passed the national security threshold, period,? Wolfson said.</blockquote>

Ouch

Here is what Obama says about experience because he agrees with you about knowing what you are doing.

Edited to add;

<strong>I really didn't expect a Republican candidate to win the presidential election. I fully expected Hillary Clinton to be the POTUS at this point and was quite suprised that Obama won the Dem Primary over Clinton. I was suprised because of Obama's complete and total lack of experience.. No Vas you like to focus on Palin and her inteligence and her lack of expereince. Can you explain why Obama's complete lack of experience didn't bother you and still doesn't. Lets not focus on Palin as BLT put it they lost lets get over it.</strong>

A 2004 Fox Interview ? More like a sound bite. That was 5 years ago.

How much time doing YouTube mining did that take ?

Seems a little out of context as we didnt get the question asked either.

Are reaching for straws or what ?

I am just going to flat out say it again.

THE ELECTION IS OVER. GET OVER IT.

Not possible.

Check his avatar - bitter beer face FTW!

Here's a joke I heard:

What's the difference between the post-2000 Moveon.org folks and people like TR?

Nothing. Both are bitter over the loss.

What the????? Read the last sentence in my post. <blockquote>Lets not focus on Palin as BLT put it they lost lets get over it.

</blockquote>

You two seem to be fixated on old news Sarah Palin. You two seem to be fixated on slamming Cheney.

I think the confusion is that you and No Vas think I am slamming Obama.

<strong>Let me be clear I am slamming you and No Vas for being hypocrites. </strong>

Both you and No Vas continue to impune a person that lost. Many of the arguements you use to impune the "loser" could also be used to discredit the candidate you two think is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

You can say Palin is an idiot because... then I say he what about when Obama... which looks a lot like what Palin did. Well that is different because Palin is an idiot and Obama isn't. OHHH I get it.

So I have finally figured it out. Both you and No Vas think all Republicans are idiots and you can use anything you would like to prove that. If a Democrat does the same thing it is different because the Democrats aren't idiots.

If that train of thought is challenged then it is sour grapes. I have it now.

Democrats = Good, Intelligent people.

Republicans = Bad, Stupid people.

If Democrat does something that may disprove the above that doesn't mean anything.

If a Republican does something that may disprove the above that doesn't mean anything.

Edited to Add.

We've had the discussion before where we discuss that I'm very religiously conservative, particluarly when it comes to premarital sexual activity.

Also, you are making a personal attack on me, and I will be demanding action from Zovall as you have violated the TOS.

Technically your quote below is agains the TOS.

<blockquote>I can?t respond to any of the other crap TR posted right now, but I am disgusted at him as a fellow human being. </blockquote>

It's very different.

I'm disgusted with you as a human because you think Palin's behavior is OK and I don't - specifically, she is a poor excuse for a mother enabled her daughter's inappropriate sexual conduct.

You are making a personal attack on me by calling me a hypocrite, which is patently false.

This is patently False. I am not a GOP Flat Earther Type. This is a personal Jab or attack.

I am not bitter over the loss do a search and see where I said McCain lost my vote when he wanted to bail out homeowners.

You have continued to jab at me and my beliefs and when I finally say something back you get upset?

With the "It's Very Different" response.

Why is it different because I came straight and you make snide backhanded insults about me?

You guys need to calm down.

trrenter,

Calling them hypocrites is name calling. Please stop. Disagreements do not need to lead to characterizations.
