I was going to go to Saturday's game ($50 cheap seats on resale) but glad I didn't considering how bad it was (refs bought into the hype).
Hopefully, if they play on the weekend at Staples again, it will still be cheap.
Clippers are the biggest choke artists. They may get past the Warriors but no way get past round too. Lob city just doesn't work in the playoffs...solid D and keeping turnovers down is what gets the job done.qwerty said:irvinehomeowner said:Haters still hatin'.

you should have gone on saturday. you may not get another game at staples after game 2![]()
Well, unlike the No D'Antoni system, Doc does focus on defense and reducing TOs. In fact, Clippers were 7th in the league in fewest turnovers, they were 13th under Del Negro. Doc even said it's not about Lob City any more.USCTrojanCPA said:Clippers are the biggest choke artists. They may get past the Warriors but no way get past round too. The Clippers will revert to themselves in the playoffs. It's not like Doc can get out there and play for them. They have no chance against OKC and the Spurs. We all know that Lebum got lucky last year. And sure, if you have 3 of the best players in the NBA on one team you definitely have a good chance of winning it all. I bet with my brain (and consulting with my dad) not with my emotions or feelings.irvinehomeowner said:Well, unlike the No D'Antoni system, Doc does focus on defense and reducing TOs. Weren't you the guy who said LeBron isn't very good and the Heat weren't going to win any rings? Then you started betting on Miami.

They are about to almost choke another game away by throwing up bricks at the line. I'll say it again, the Clippers aren't going very far in the playoffs this year.irvinehomeowner said:Contrary to what USCTroj thinks, the Clips *are* being the Clips.
They led the league in 3pt defense (another one of Doc's goals) and against GS, you see how it's working because the Splash Bros aren't getting their 3s.
Doesn't seem like they can defend Blake and are too small to keep DJ (the real defensive player and most improved player if you ask me) off the boards. Reddick is tearing their defense up too.
Game 1 wasn't indicative of the series because the refs were whistle happy, it's different when they let them play.
But GS is still dangerous and can still win Game 3 (but I hope they don't).
It's the Clippers curse...it's above any player, even one that's as good as CP3.irvinehomeowner said:Whew.
CP3 almost blew it again. Can't believe he keeps missing his free throws.
So is it Lob City doesn't work, lack of defense, turnovers, coach can't play or poor FT shooting? You just keep adding to that list.USCTrojanCPA said:They are about to almost choke another game away by throwing up bricks at the line.
So did you bet against them?I'll say it again, the Clippers aren't going very far in the playoffs this year.
Well... I guess that's better than the old Clipper curse, where everyone gets injured.USCTrojanCPA said:It's the Clippers curse...it's above any player, even one that's as good as CP3.irvinehomeowner said:Whew.

I actually took the Clippers today but pushed the bet as the line was -2pts. But I have them on a moneyline parlay with Washington, Brooklyn, and Portland.irvinehomeowner said:So is it Lob City doesn't work, lack of defense, turnovers, coach can't play or poor FT shooting?
