Are you saying you can run Android apps/games on the PC using Chrome?
I believe RC is mistaken, Chrome apps are not Android apps... they have different SDKs from what I can remember.

Ok, you're right, they are not Android apps; they are from the Chrome Web Store... which are identical to similar; I have a Chrome version of mostly everything I run on my Android; Blue Stacks is a novel idea, but I don't see a need for it...

The very definition of Android... and spirit of an open source OS...

can I check my gmail on your camera...?

That survey is very skewed.  It's based off people at CES.  Those people are there for new tech and it doesn't look good for Blackberry while it does look good for iPhone/iPad.  Very skewed.

I love seeing the world through my son's eyes.  The day is full of first experiences and discoveries, as we all get older, there isn't much that we haven't seen or done.  Until yesterday, that is.  The G-Nex comes with NFC capabilities, near field communication allows the phone to beam information to other phones and devices.  You can Google Beam and share web pages, video and apps; but with Google Wallet, you are also able to pay for things without breaking out the wallet.

There was this debacle with Google Wallet and Verizon when they release the phone; it didn't come with the phone, but that doesn't stop us from side-loading it ourselves.  You don't even have to root or unlock you phone to side-load it.  But the app is no where to be found on the Android market...

First... enable installation of non-Android app sources

When was the last time your Search engine bought you dinner?  With the activation of your Google Prepaid card, they give you a $10 instant credit.  The kid wanted chicken nuggets last night, so I picked up the 20-piece, with a couple of sandwiches and large fries; total came out to $9.67; put the phone up to the register, and the process was fast and painless.  My first payment with NFC put a huge smile on my face.  Thanks for dinner Google...!

We have a few charts to digest this afternoon...

Whoah... some balanced reporting from rc in that last post.

I really think that it's going to be

$400+ market = iPad
< $350 market = ICS Android
< $200 market = Amazon

Android will probably be the most widespread smartphone OS... but iPhone will be the most bought models of smartphones.

That leaves RIM and WindowsPhone with the leftovers.

Want iOS5 features on your non-iOS5 upgradeable iDevice... just go through the White Door:
http://www.bgr.com/2012/01/19/iphone-owners-living-in-the-past-finally-get-a-peek-at-the-present/

A group of independent iOS developers have taken it upon themselves to bring a number of the great features iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS owners enjoy to the first and second-generation iPhone and iPod touch. Using a custom iOS build called Whited00r, popular iOS 5 features including enhanced mutitasking support, reminders, home screen folders, video recording and even Newsstand are made available on older iPhone and iPod touch devices.
[...]
Whited00r 5.1 is available for free and can be installed using Apple?s iTunes software on a Mac or a Windows PC. The team behind Whited00r recommends that users set up their devices as new rather than restoring from a backup after installing the customer software.

I'm going to try this out on my wife's old iPhone 3G.
