Does your wife know about Ashley? :D

I have nothing to hide... funny thing on ICS, your contacts include people on G+, there was a few days where I had to scroll through Ashley giving the finger; just to call a client...

Only the coolest Android news, make it to RC posts...

ICS-based MIUI 4 ROM available for Galaxy S II - for all U GSII peeps out there... I've always admire MIUI, and I can't believe I'm already thinking about ROMing my GNex... so many great ICS ROMs I'm seeing, but stock ICS is actually really good, as it is...

Cydia-style app store for Android coming soon - Very, interesting... indeed...!
cyanogenmod-app-store.jpg

The cyanogenmod app store is very interesting.  It's by a very well known and respected dev so it should do well.

I'm hoping it's sooner rather than later that all these ridiculous patent lawsuits disappear.  Truly astonishing what some of the patents are and how general they are.  They hamper innovation.  Glad to see that the courts in other countries do make very sensible decisions from time to time.

oh, crap... I think Samsung just got Samsunged...!

If you haven't seen the latest, vid from Samsung... it's a bit much, even for RC...

This afternoon's Apple Numbers...http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/24/apple-q1-2012-iphone-ipad-ipod-mac-hardware-sales/
Apple's Q1 hardware sales: 37 million iPhones, 15.43 million iPads, 5.2 million Macs, 15.4 million iPods

img0692-600.jpg

apple-q1-data-summary.jpg

Those are IMPRESSIVE numbers, where are all the -i- users here... represent please...!  Wait,, what??? We're still in Jan...?  Fiscal quarter...? who does that...?

Yep... Sammy can do all the commercials they want (the talking texting is a bit misleading because the iPhone can do that too)... but all that matters is... SCOREBOARD!

And just think... it wasn't even on a brand new iPhone, it was just a spec bump. Imagine what the numbers will be with the iPad 3 and the iPhone 5?

The iPods are losing traction though... Apple should think of a way to make a cheaper iPod Touch to gain more grounds into the kids gaming device market. Nintendo was lucky they dropped the 3DS from $249 to $169 but if Apple somehow gets a new iPod Touch priced down to the $150 range... portable gaming consoles are in trouble.

I actually think the IHO family is going to get a 4G iPad when it comes out. We use it enough such that something that is WLAN capable would work. Or maybe I should get a MyFi.

looking at the numbers closer... it doesn't specify which iphone, if I'm not mistaken, the 3G is free with contract?

I highly doubt that the majority of those iphone numbers were the 4S, but impressive no-the-less...

another article out this morning... that is a very impressive number; almost half of the number of Androids being born everyday...

Again, I beg the question; where are all the -i- users around here, not very passionate about your 2-year old 3G phone I guess...  I am afraid that the Smartphone is the new Feature Phone, and there is this never ending insatiable appetite for tech to have to do more and more for people to be moved...

I'm not understanding this question... are you saying there are ton of Android users on TI compared to iPhone users?

From what I recall, there were maybe 3 or 4 Android users compared to the same number or more of iPhone users.

Maybe it's time for a poll...

How is it already 1:30...?  I don't know... you know what they say, about work and finding a job; have work, where the day just flies; you know you're in the wrong type of work if the day just drags on forever...

so, was listening to this last night, here is some news for BB users how ever little out there...

really cool how the new RIM CEO first contacted Crackberry Kevin about his new position...

Another bit about BB users... this explains our pal Pat, CK Star...

I actually had a weekend filled with Apple... and not really in a good way, finally caught up on my This American Life Episodes...

If you have an -i- device, you MUST take one hour today and listen to this...!  Really gripping story from Mike Daisey...

The most shocking thing for me to realize is how much Hand Labor is still used today; like Mike I thought most complicated electronic devices are completely automated, but in a country where labor is almost free, why not, have workers do everything by hand...

In China, Human Costs Are Built Into an Ipadhttp://www.ndtv.com/article/world/in-china-human-costs-are-built-into-an-ipad-170677
ipad_story.jpg

There is certainly a cost to being a tech geek; and I know the issue is not certainly not limited to just Apple, I'm not all about hating Apple more, for raking in record profits; while Android spreads more of the revenues around; but simply looking at myself more; and how I contribute to the problem.

I am part of the population who would actually will pay more for tech if it means that the people making the stuff are treated right.

I really hate hearing about the human costs for products.  But, it's always about the bottom line.  Until these human costs affect product purchases enough, there will be little to no change.

LOL, I can't stop laughing.. I almost choke and spray coffee all over my desk...!  the new RIM CEO is introducing... cartoon characters...? to professional Enterprise users?? What..?

HTC Ville With Android 4.0 and HTC Sense 4.0 Caught on Blurrycam Video - Dang, they just yank the video, check back later today, someone else will post it...

ah, Good old Sense..! My first Android compatible phone is actually a Sense phone; that is really how I see it; there is no "fragmentation" this is exactly the way Google designed Android.  If you ever hear HTC talk about Sense it is their corporate culture, their identity and unique offering to the marketplace.  They really believe in it and work hard to build and protect it.  It's not fragmentation as
much as it's an unique phone in and of itself.  It's not a Nexus phone, it's not a Samsung, Motorola, not a Droid, it's the next thing coming from HTC, you are buying the latest Sense phone just like your latest Apple phone.
