Interesting/Amusing Property Finds

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
1. You don't have to worry about the neighborhood going to pot.

2. My wife and I have two small white dogs - and no kids. I'm the old one.

3. Most of my friends are in that demographic (55+) and for some sick reason it seems prudent to just buck up and move into one of those places.

yup, I vote seniors the best neighbors I ever had (noise, wild parties, motorcycles, children-no, Xmas gifts and sweeping the area in front of my garage-yes). Go seniors!

Yep, a senior community can legally "discriminate" against other age groups if all residents are seniors - it's an exception. A more detailed explanation is in one of my old RE textbooks that are collecting dust somewhere in the garage...

Can't exactly call this cookie cutter.....perhaps bread box ?

They ran out of pink paint? I owned a pink stucco over concrete block house, but it was in South Fla, and the whole thing was pink. Maybe they're planning to paint the bottom purple.

liz, I think they call that style "collision architecture".....or construction on crack.....I can't remember. Either way, that thing is a tear down !

That must be being offered as a scraper. Someone will buy it for the land and demolish the two houses on it and build a mansion. I don't know what oceanfront lots are going for now, but $7.5M seems pretty high.

Wow $600k for this in January? Nice description, too:

"This is not a house; this is a home where you can live and raise your children and have wonderful memories. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms allow this big spacious give this big home a warm feeling of comfort. Dont miss out make an offert now"

So they're reducing the first house by $10,000 a week. In 44 weeks it won't be worth anything!

As to the second, someone may like it. Someone odd, like my daugher the architect. Someone who likes cubes and rectangles.

In the paper up in the Space Coast, there was an add that said the property would be reduced $3000 a week? month? until sold. The hub and I couldn't decide whether this would just be an inducement to sit and wait, or an encouragement for an actual buyer to come out of hiding and say, ok, I'm willing to wait until it's reduced another 30 grand, so why don't we deal now. Or, an inducement for nobody to do anything, ever.

The wrought copper door seems totally out of place. The interior looks "plain" compared to the excesses taken on the outside. The garage door also looks way out of place. Looks more like it was built by a wannabe architect - although it dates back to 1965 and acid was pretty big back then.

Looks like they loaded it up with junk as well ... "two double ovens" - that is 4 ovens. What do you do in cases where they throw in appliances that you don't like/want but will be paying for the next 30 years???

"two fireplaces (One in Master B/d and one in Living room)and many more. .. ." - didn't that just cover the 2 fireplaces?

They really do like doubling up everything - including the price ... :P
