It would be a smart move to acquire a used Tesla now - the pain from the coming CA refined petroleum molecule famine hasn’t even manifested yet - without a doubt CA will see $10/gal minimum for a decade. Too big a tanker to turn around even if we get a GOP supermajority (which will never happen). Let us know how much those AZ gas prices are... they are up everywhere... not just Cali.

I may head to Vegas in my not-$100k EV... two 30-min stops for charging should do it.

Never said I wasn’t. I’ll drive straight there no need for one hour stops…Gas will be higher, but I guarantee you…it is not as high as us….we did that.

You have to stop for at least half an hour for stretch/restroom/food breaks anyways.

When we rented an ICE minivan for our last road trip, we stopped at least 3 times each way and only 1 was for gas.

Please read… not 1 hour… fast charging is 20-30min. And it will be because we want to. Not healthy to hold your pee pee or sit for a long period of time.
