The law of unintended consequences....here is what a soft border gets you...not happy immigrants but miserable  slaves...

It's not fun being a sanctuary city anymore

By Silvio Canto, Jr.

Once upon a time, it was so much fun being a sanctuary city. It made you popular with immigration activists and the self-declared "enlightened" class. Suddenly, sanctuary cities are about dealing with migrants who accepted your invitation. As someone said on the TV, it's like inviting a bunch of people for dinner and then realizing that you can't pay the bill.

The problem is really serious in the so-called "blue cities" as Naomi Lin recently wrote:

New York City's struggle to care for about 110,000 immigrants who have arrived in the city since last year is having political repercussions for President Joe Biden, more than 200 miles away in Washington, D.C.

But the political ramifications for Biden are not only emanating from New York City but also other Democratic-run cities, including Boston, Chicago, and Philadelphia, before next year's election.

What is unfolding in New York City regarding immigrants is "a prime example of what happens when you combine bad local policies with poor enforcement of federal immigration laws," according to Republican strategist Lanhee Chen.

"NYC's policies have created a permissive environment where, unsurprisingly, migrants have fled to seek shelter," Chen, policy director of Sen. Mitt Romney's (R-UT) 2012 presidential campaign, told the Washington Examiner. "Even blue-state governors like Maura Healey in Massachusetts have decried the 'crisis of inaction' within the Biden administration when it comes to enforcement of federal immigration laws."

Crisis of inaction? A permissive environment? How about a good case of demagogic policies meeting reality?

I don't feel sorry for any of these Democrats. They played this issue against Governor Greg Abbott in Texas. They preached tolerance, diversity, inclusion, and everything else.

Now, Mayor Eric Adams is threatening to make budget cuts and the governor of Massachusetts doesn't know what to do. Sorry, but I can't feel their pain.

You reap what you sow….🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️😂😂😂

America’s sanctuary cities are falling apart

Places like New York are struggling to deal with an influx of migrants

Border chaos is now sparking a war among Democrats, with some, like New York Mayor Eric Adams, suggesting the migrant wave may “destroy” the city. His critique has been repeated by much of the border state Arizona Democratic delegation, as well as Independent Senator Kristen Sinema. But if sensible Democrats know the game is up and want to stop the flow, others, like Chicago’s ultra-progressive Mayor Brandon Johnson and Leftist members of the New York City Council, denounce Adams and others as xenophobic acolytes who are mouthing “repugnant Maga garbage”.

Yet the collapse of the sanctuary city is not the product of far-Right manipulation, although it certainly warms the cockles of reactionary hearts. Nor is it primarily caused by shipments of migrants from what some may see as the quasi-fascist republics of Texas and Florida. The vast majority of refugees, as even the New York Times admits, go to New York on their own.

I can’t help but smile…🤦🏽‍♂️😂😂😂

NY Gov. Kathy Hochul's migrant U-turn: Video reveals how Democrat welcomed asylum seekers 'with open arms' in 2021 - but TODAY she tells them: 'Go somewhere else'

· The Democrat addressed the migrant crisis in NYC on Wednesday

· Over 110,000 asylum seekers have arrived since the spring of 2022, with over currently 10,000 arriving every month

· The Roosevelt Hotel, Paul Hotel and Paramount Hotel are among the hotels designated for housing migrants in Manhattan

in December 2021, when she promised to house and protect asylum seekers…

'As you know, the Statue of Liberty is inscribed. It says, give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses, yearning to be free,' Hochul previously said. 'You're welcome with open arms and we'll work to keep you safe... We'll not only house you, but we'll protect you.'

Now…

'We have to get the word out, that when you come to New York, you're not going to have more hotel rooms, we don't have capacity,' Hochul said on CNN. 'So we have to also message properly that we're at a limit - if you're going to leave your country,go somewhere else.'

Just cut out the middle man of the cartel and fund their illegal migration directly from the taxpayer….great idea!!!😳🤦🏽‍♂️😡

Biden’s DHS let 200,000 illegal immigrants fly directly into 43 cities

The Biden administration has unleashed a new program to boost illegal immigration that allows immigrants to fly directly from their hometowns into a U.S. city of their choice, according to newly obtained records.

Instead of rushing the Texas border, the program lets immigrants use the administration’s app to pick a destination, buy an airline ticket, and fly in unseen on what amounts to ghost flights.

Trump Right again…wadda ya know?...😂😂😂🦄🌈

Surprise: Another Major 'Sanctuary' City Pushed to the Brink

'Sanctuary' Democrats will never forgive Texas Governor Greg Abbott for forcing them to live with even a small taste of the consequences created by their reckless pro-illegal immigration posturing. The fallout from lax security and open borders policy were always supposed to be someone else's problem, you see. Abbott -- whose state has been deluged and overrun by President Biden's historic border crisis -- keeps delivering a small fraction of the problem to jurisdictions run by pro-'sanctuary' Democrats. And boy do they hate it. Here's the latest out of Denver, Colorado, which is buckling under the weight of fewer than 40,000 illegal immigrant arrivals over the past year:

We have a winner…..and it aint California…🥇🙄😂😂🇺🇸

Trump predicted disaster of sanctuary cities in 2019

"They say, 'We have open arms.' They're always saying they have open arms. Let's see if they have open arms."

Former President Donald J. Trump predicted in 2019 that sanctuary cities would lead to catastrophe. His prediction has since come to fruition as the nation watches Democrat-run sanctuary cities near collapse over an illegal immigration crisis. These sanctuary policies act as a safe haven for illegal immigrants who claim asylum status in order to escape deportation.

"We're apprehending thousands and thousands of people a day and the law only allows us to hold them, as you know, for 20 days, because of the most ridiculous laws probably we have in this country," said Trump on April 12, 2019.

"Whether it's catch and release, or chain migration, or any of them; the asylum laws are absolutely insane. They come up, in many cases they're rough gang members, in many cases they're people with tremendous crime records, and they're given a statement to read by lawyers that stand there waiting for them," Trump continued.

There's "a lot of sanctuary cities," continued Trump. "So, we'll give them to the sanctuary cities maybe, to take care of, if that's the way they want it, because we can only hold them under the current law for 20 days. We might as well do what they always say they want. We'll bring the illegals ... to sanctuary city areas, and let that particular area take care of it. Whether it's a state or whatever it might be."

"And let's see if they're so happy. They say, 'We have open arms.' They're always saying they have open arms. Let's see if they have open arms," said Trump.

You know the Dem's plan right? They want to give the migrants ballots. They'll vote blue about 70% of the time.

You know the Dem's plan right? They want to give the migrants ballots. They'll vote blue about 70% of the time.
hey! That’s “replacement theory” and it’s “racist” when a Republican notices it but it’s just the long plan when Democrats implement it🤦🏽‍♂️😡😡😡😂

Of course. It's compassionate to let people cross our boarder without question, let them cut in line ahead of legal immigrants who come here to be productive, give them money, a place to live, a work visa, free education and meals for their children... a passport... a ballot... The party of compassion. Step aside law abiding tax paying American families and check your privilege. Only racists would question such compassion.

Winning!!😂😂😂🇺🇸

New York City Mayor Eric Adams calls for changes to NYC sanctuary policy

“I want to go back to the standards of the previous mayors who, I believe, subscribed to my belief that people who are suspected of committing serious crimes in this city should be held accountable,” Adams said.

Adams’ comments follow a series of high-profile incidents involving recently arrived migrants in the city who have been accused of violent crimes, including a recent shooting of a tourist during a robbery inside a Times Square clothing store.

The definition of sanctuary city or state can vary somewhat across jurisdictions. The term is broadly applied to jurisdictions that have policies in place designed to limit cooperation with or involvement in federal immigration enforcement actions.

“I want to go back to the standards of the previous mayors who, I believe, subscribed to my belief that people who are suspected of committing serious crimes in this city should be held accountable,” Adams said.
It blows my mind that there are so many people who believe those who commit serious crimes should NOT be held accountable.
