Shocking! Mexicans don't like migrants either:
https://www.yahoo.com/news/working-class-mexicans-don-t-110008487.html

"You?d think the Mexicans, whose compatriots have been migrating to the United States for generations, would appreciate the predicament of the thousands of Central Americans passing through Mexico trying to reach U.S. soil.
But no.
The sentiment was unmistakable from everyone I casually asked during my seven-day trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico: We need to take care of our own first.
Sounds familiar? It's the same nationalistic sentiment often heard and harshly criticized here in the United States."

Liberals, you need to start hating Mexicans now because they are just like us.

Trump becomes 1st sitting U.S. president to enter North Korea

With wide grins and a historic handshake, U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong-un met at the heavily fortified Demilitarized Zone on Sunday and agreed to revive talks on the pariah nation's nuclear program. Trump, pressing his bid for a legacy-defining deal, became the first sitting American leader to step into North Korea.

What was intended to be an impromptu exchange of pleasantries turned into a 50-minute meeting, another historic first in the year-long rapprochement between the two technically warring nations. It marked a return to face-to-face contact between the leaders after talks broke down during a summit in Vietnam in February. Significant doubts remain, though, about the future of the negotiations and the North's willingness to give up its stockpile of nuclear weapons.

The border encounter was a made-for television moment. The men strode toward one another from opposite sides of the Joint Security Area and shook hands over the raised patch of concrete at the Military Demarcation Line as cameras clicked and photographers jostled to capture the scene.

After asking if Kim wanted him to cross, Trump took 10 steps into the North with Kim at his side, then escorted Kim back to the South for talks at Freedom House, where they agreed to revive the stalled negotiations.

The spectacle marked the latest milestone in two years of roller-coaster diplomacy between the two nations. Personal taunts of "Little Rocket Man" (by Trump) and "mentally deranged U.S. dotard" (by Kim) and threats to destroy one other have given way to on-again, off-again talks, professions of love and flowery letters.

"I was proud to step over the line," Trump told Kim as they met in on the South Korean side of the truce village of Panmunjom. "It is a great day for the world."

Trump forms taskforce, says California cities ?fed up? over homelessness

President Donald Trump vowed not to let Democratic-run California cities ?destroy themselves? over the rampant homelessness that is plaguing them.

The president suggested the creation of an ?individual task force? to address the problem in California cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco, speaking to reporters as he traveled to the Golden State for a series of fundraisers.

ABC News ?slaughter in Syria? footage appears to come from a Kentucky gun range

Are you distrustful of the coverage of what is happening now in northern Syria between the Kurds and the Turkish army? You have good reason to be.

ABC aired supposedly shocking footage Monday and Sunday purporting to be from the frontline battle between the Syrian Kurds and the invading Turks. The only problem is: The footage appears to come from a nighttime machine gun demonstration at the Knob Creek Gun Range in West Point, Kentucky.

After seeing a comment from Wojciech Pawelczyk, I began making some calls. As of this writing, it appears ABC indeed aired footage recorded in the Bluegrass State and claimed it was from Syria. The network has since pulled the video.

"We?ve taken down video that aired on 'World News Tonight Sunday' and 'Good Morning America' this morning that appeared to be from the Syrian border immediately after questions were raised about its accuracy," a network representative told the Washington Examiner. "ABC News regrets the error.?

U.S. Sues California For Entering Agreement With Quebec To Control Emissions

Last week, the U.S. sued the state of California along with other state entities for entering an agreement with Canadian province, Quebec, back in 2013. The agreement was to control emissions linked to climate change and the issue being that the state had no right to conduct foreign policy.

According to the Justice Department, the state of California, state officials, the California Air Resources Board, and the Western Climate Initiative Inc. entered into the 2013 agreement without congressional approval.

Court Sides With Trump In 'Sanctuary Cities' Grant Fight

The Trump administration can withhold millions of dollars in law enforcement grants to force states to cooperate with U.S. immigration enforcement, a federal appeals court in New York ruled Wednesday in a decision that conflicted with three other federal appeals courts.

The decision by the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan overturned a lower court's decision ordering the administration to release funding to New York City and seven states ? Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Washington, Virginia and Rhode Island.

The states and city sued the U.S. government after the Justice Department announced in 2017 that it would withhold grant money from cities and states until they gave federal immigration authorities access to jails and provide advance notice when someone in the country illegally is about to be released.

Before the change, cities and states seeking grant money were required only to show they were not preventing local law enforcement from communicating with federal authorities about the immigration status of people who were detained

Curry House closed because of difficulty in replacing illegal alien employees:
https://laist.com/2020/02/27/curry_...apanese_curry_food_los_angeles_impact_sad.php

New owners bought Curry House last year and discovered all the kitchen staff were illegals. They wanted to do the right thing so they fired all the illegals but the hiring and training of legal staff was so difficult and time consuming the new owners threw the towel in.

I'm pretty sure Curry House isn't the only restaurant in the country whose business depends on illegal immigration.

The new owner could have filed for Green Card for all those hard working staff.  :D
Just saying out of missing that place.  :'(

I can tell you this. I would not give up like that. They have to use technology and the knowledge to hire the right people. As someone told me, Sometimes you have to roll up your sleeves and get the job done yourself.

* they might have to be a chef or the host or server for a month or two or many months (you know what I am saying)

Note: I do not know the entire situation, but I am giving my opinion.
Due diligence or better yet a simple question would have picked that up when they bought the business.

I suspect the real issue was the same one you see over and over with business owners.  They want to pay $x, they can't hire people at $x, they can't pay more without cutting their  profit margin and they either can't raise prices (because people won't pay more) or they're afraid or just have too much ego about it.

So strange that a court would even need to decide this.  Last I checked we have a Federalist system of government.

Obama sure believed in the supremacy of federal law as it pertains to immigration...

Supreme Court mostly rejects Arizona immigration law; gov says 'heart' remains

In a decision sure to ripple across the political landscape in a presidential election year, the court's 5-3 ruling upheld the authority of the federal government to set immigration policy and laws.
"The National Government has significant power to regulate immigration," Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in the majority opinion. "Arizona may have understandable frustrations with the problems caused by illegal immigration while that process continues, but the State may not pursue policies that undermine federal law."

US Supreme Court grants Trump?s emergency request on ?remain in Mexico? policy

The policy allows the administration to send asylum seekers who pass through Mexico on their way to the US back to Mexico?a ?contiguous territory??where their applications are processed. Previously, removal for asylum seekers was not expedited and such claims were handled inside the US if an asylum applicant expressed a ?credible fear? of return to their home country. Now, they are returned to Mexico promptly, where immigration advocates say some migrants also face persecution but don?t dare articulate such a fear at the US border.

Biden reaches deal with Mexico to restart Trump 'Remain in Mexico' policy
U.S. and Mexican officials struck an agreement re-implementing the Migrant Protection Protocols program, otherwise known as "Remain in Mexico," and plan to announce it Thursday, according to the Washington Post and Wall Street Journal. The Biden administration was forced to follow the Remain in Mexico plan by a Supreme Court order earlier this year.

Biden suspended the Remain in Mexico policy upon taking office and originally tried to end it in June, but was successfully sued by Texas and Missouri to reinstate it and lost an appeal to the Supreme Court. The administration has been in the process of restarting the program to fulfill the court order while it works to end it in a way that can withstand another legal challenge.
