How low can we go? 30 yr fixed at 3.75% with no fees...

After yesterday?s drop, I expected the 10 would rally today. Very happy to see it drop even further. It got away a few weeks back (climbing up to around 2) but has come down considerably making new lows.

Listings that pique my interest... feedback?

The first is at $491K, so there may be some room there. Haven?t seen the inside so I?m not sure if/how much rehab/renovation work is needed. May end up not requiring much, great fix and flip potential at $486K (opening bid) or lower.

Looks like the Irvine Co. is attempting to block the sale http://lansner.ocregister.com/2012/05/21/irvine-co-halts-18-5-million-mansion-sale/162912/

the modern home... IS a fireplace important?

Same with us, although ours is not wood burning (gas logs) The family room fireplace gets used frequently. The other one in the living room is mostly for decoration and rarely gets used (Holiday season).

Trojan's return to home ownership in Irvine

Thanks for sharing your story. I could see how short sales can be difficult. These sellers were losing a home that they lived in for close to 12 years, since 1999. Looks like over the last few years, they struggled to try and hang on. The stress involved, such things are never easy particularly...

Trojan's return to home ownership in Irvine

Seems like overall it closed pretty fast despite a lot of the drama that went on. Some short sales take forever to close

    Lambert Ranch in Irvine

They must be taking their time. All of the land directly north and west of the models is completely empty. They built out Cypress Village and the Middle school faster.

    Lambert Ranch in Irvine

Are they still selling homes at San Marino? I thought they gave up and moved the crews over to build out Cypress Village, We did a family bike ride over there a few weeks back and the area looked desolate. Plenty of empty lots, was looking for the tumbleweeds

Observations from the front lines of the Irvine housing market?

That?s one of the benefits of not having an association to deal with No approval hold ups and you can get away with all sorts of cool features. I wanted to get a version of this approved for our backyard really bad
