[IHB] Does the Irvine school system add value to local houses?

Persians are considered Asian btw.  There is a pretty big Persian population in Irvine.

Aren't a lot of South County cities segregated too?

[IHB] Does the Irvine school system add value to local houses?

Where are the stats that show where these kids actually attended?  These numbers are only acceptances.  It's only smart to apply to some safety schools. It looks like about 10% of the seniors get accepted to Cal.  Not bad if you ask me.

Are those the number of students who got accepted to those schools or who actually attended those schools?

But these UCI students can still get accepted to Harvard...Harvard court apartments in Irvine.  Seriously, why do we name our apartment complexes and streets after these "good" schools?  Is there a town in Massachusetts with a UC Irvine Avenue?  Its like this is a slap in the face of these UCI...

Yeah, Cornell is probably the red-headed step child.  But it's amazing how many people can't even name all ivy league schools.  I wonder if they teach that at Uni?

Everybody here realizes that there are 8 ivy league schools right?  Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Princeton University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Yale University.  Hard to imagine that not one UHS student got accepted...

http://www.iusd.org/uhs/documents/Classof2011SeniorSurvey.pdf This link shows where the class of 2011 from Uni got accepted.  I am a firm believer that the number of students accepted to Berkeley is the best overall indicator for success.  Even if you are are ivy league bound, you will still...

Preschool not to far from Woodbury?

A lot of parents would only send their child to an NAEYC accredited program.  You can search for one here: http://www.naeyc.org/academy/accreditation/search I am not sure how important it is to be NAEYC accredited but I would probably rather send my kid to a program that is accredited.

AMG Mercedes Drive event OC Great Park Oct 1-2

I went on Friday because I was on the wait list and they opened up an additional day.  There were no good freebies, just magazines and pamphlets.  It seems that they were pushing their AMG driving courses that are quite expensive. They allowed 4 laps on a 1.4 mile course.  I opted to take 1 lap...

Which courts have lights?  Preferably closest to the Turtle Ridge area. I know Orchard has lights but its too far.  Not looking forward to the upcoming time change.

Who can truly afford a home in Irvine?

I hate to bring politics into this but I find it laughable how Obama wants to raise taxes on households making over 250k.  In a place like Omaha, 250k is a lot.  In Irvine, 250k is almost poverty (slight exaggeration but you get my drift).

Realtors - please stop wasting water!

I agree this is bad... but not as bad as realtors who take pictures from the roofs of these Quail Hill homes and tout them as "view" homes.  But from the back yard you stare right into the windows of your neighbors.  Or Turtle Ridge realtors who take a 20x zoom picture and say there is a...

Who can truly afford a home in Irvine?

I've always wondered about the median household income for Irvine.  $107,546 http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/bplive/2011/snapshots/PL0636770.html This figure seems extremely low.  Do they count all the UCI students who make next to nothing?  Business owners lying about income?  Even...
