Tesla deliveries in Europe falling.

Competition outside the US is tough from Chinese EVs and Elon antics not helping.

They probably should have done the Model 2 instead of the CT.

The Chinese EVs offer perhaps the best quality to price ratio. What happens if they are allowed in Europe, Canada, Mexico, the US?

Stellantis acquired 20% of Leapmotor and is building one of their compact car (T03) and a small SUV (C10) in a Stellantis factory in Poland. That way they avoid any tariffs that would apply to Chinese cars in Europe. For €18K (tax included) + local EV incentives it's difficult to beat and I don't see how the local manufacturers compete.

We will see who blinks first:

The whole prospect of trying to shift auto manufacturing (ICE and EV) back to the US is going to be tough. As the US EV market continues to grow, GM may have to retool US factories.

That's the easy part. Getting rid of unions is the hard part.

Saw an IG post on the Slate today. Versatile, functional, priced right... This car will be a license to print money.

“In other words, the SUV’s seats, structure and roof make it heavier, increasing energy consumption. But its streamlined shape also makes it slice through the air more efficiently. At the end of the day, you can expect a “small percentage” more driving range in the SUV, Keipper said.”

For comparison, NMC batteries last 800-2,500 cycles vs LFP at 3,000-6,000 cycles. But 98% of LFP battery components are imported from China so to qualify for $7500 Fed tax credit, they have to use NMC battery made in the US.

GM outselling Tesla in Canada:

And becoming the fastest growing brand in the US:

I still think they messed up by not offering CarPlay and AndroidAuto.

Bill changes could not only affect $7500 buy credit (which is very restrictive) but also lease loophole. Let's see what happens when some of the cheese is taken away.

Did you fact check your coal opinion?

And even if true, at least it's not fossil fuel on top of coal.
In the time it took you to type that post you could have googled the source of electricity generation in China.

China used coal to generate 58% of it's electricity in 2024. China emitted 5,640 metric tons of CO2 emissions in 2024, the most ever on record in a year.

https://ember-energy.org/countries-and-regions/china/

China doesn't care about the environment. They don't care about EVs. They care only about propping up their economy and destroying the west. They want to be the world super power.

Climate is about to get thrown under the bus. The smell of desperation just pushes the drill, baby drill scenario. Economics always beats emotion.👍🏽😂😂😂🇺🇸

Three Mile Island nuclear plant will reopen to power Microsoft data centers

Three Mile Island, the power plant near Middletown, Pa., that was the scene of the worst commercial nuclear accident in U.S. history, will reopen to power Microsoft's data centers, which are responsible for powering the tech giant's cloud computing and artificial intelligence programs.

Constellation Energy, which bills itself as America's largest producer of "clean, carbon-free energy," announced Friday that it had signed its largest-ever power purchase agreement with Microsoft.

…all power powered by coal👍🏽😂😂😂🦄🌈
China used coal to generate 58% of it's electricity in 2024.

So not "all" powered by coal.

That's why I asked him to fact check... because not many things are "all" or "never" (like certain people like to claim).

And I agree that EVs are not all about climate... it's also about convenience, better driving experience, less maintenance etc.... IYKYK.
