Waste of time...

[quote author="RobertLarsen" date=1250926115]Haha, do you realize how you sound?

Once again... no credibility... Post on IHB? Okay... did they give you an honorary PHD for that? SHOW ME SOMETHING OF VALUE! Geez... do you walk the streets bragging about your posts too? Girls must love it!... You have no more credibility than anyone else here, sorry. You just act like you do, and I'll point it out everytime until you show me something.

Funny you mention the girls... speaking from experience they do love it. See... you won't get that, because you haven't been lurking here. I have way more credibility than you have here, and more than most. Sorry buddy, but you trying to put me down as not credible because this is just the internet isn't going to fly. This is 2009, and now blogs like IHB, Calculated Risk, and The Big Picture are credible. If they weren't, then the MSM wouldn't cite our sites in their articles, but they do. What do you want me to show you of value? How I posted about how option ARMs work? Or would you like to know how foreclosures work? Or would knowing what the shadow inventory looks like? Would those things be of value to you? Because they have been and are for many readers here. What of value have you posted again? Your opinion of neighborhoods? Oh... yes... that means you have the same credibility as me... right?

And in response to lying, the only thing that you can have me on is the UCI MBA program. I was admitted, I decided not to attend because it's too expensive for me right now. I think I would rather do the CSU Fullerton distance education program at UCI, spend half as much on tuition. I've been glancing over posts in here for over a year now, more so now, so that's why I called myself a long time lurker.

You still lied about being licensed for two years. The DRE site is accurate, you on the other hand are not.

I'm not claiming to know things about posters, I'm just pointing out that you have yet to show a reason why your opinion is better than anyone elses here. If I hear someone acting like he can walk on water, I want to see them walk on water.

I never said that. You just think that. Again... if you weren't so lazy, you would just use the search button yourself. Why? Seriously... why are Realturds so damn afraid of the search button. USE IT! Who would want to work with an agent that is too damn lazy to use the search button?

It's a fair question. I don't know why that deserves banning.

He's questioning me, so why can't I question him?

Because your trolling, and doing a bad job of it. And your trolling an existing 11 page thread, and you have less than fifty posts.

Plus, I hate it when newbies pick a fight with admin. It's just bad taste. And something bad trolls do.

You mean to say that someone can actually do a good job at trolling? lol

See, I miss all the good stuff without having access to the interweb all day at work. :(

If that is true, I am sorry about that, Robert. You're right - it is expensive. Don't feel bad (and don't let anyone else make you feel bad either for not being able to attend.) You have plenty of other good options like the one you suggested and you also have plenty of time to see where things take you. I have a feeling you will do quite well.

SoCal, you are the Ying to the Yang that are No_Vas & Graph.

I for one like to see a voice on the forums not kissing Graph's butt once in a while. It's refreshing.

IHB'ers have always preferred ass grabbery to butt kissing.

Well then! I'll definitely be attending the next meetup...

McD - I love you. You always find a way to make me laugh even when I'm in the worst mood.

No_Vas is right and as a mom of boys, you men sure are giving me some good practice here for what I have to look forward to in the future. (Shivers.) Graph is out back picking a switch off the tree as we speak. No_Vas... I can't explain it... even though he's ornery and all, he's just lovable and I can't find myself mad at him. He's bigger than Graph so I can't throw him over my knee. He'll have to go stand in the naughty spot - one minute for each year of his age as that's what I do with my boys. 38 minutes time-out. NOW.

While your busy with Graph, I'm going to give a little spank to T and IR2 for succumbing to their weak vulture side with our newbie today. You boys are better than that.

Oh yeah! There's a difference between just being a moronic low grade pain in the ass and REALLY making somebody want to punch out a monitor because they can't reach out and strangle the life force out of you via the internet. That's some accomplished trolling right there.

Inadvertently I did some yesterday (not here) and made five or six people really really angry (because they are idiots and didn't get the joke). I got three phone calls from people who did get it who were DYING in hysterics because they had a sense of humor, and understood the sarcasm and got the joke. Maybe I?m closet English. Good times.

M80,

Duly noted. But for the record, this person needed help, was asking for help, and did not have a relationship (was not in escrow) with another broker.

This business is how the I pay the bills for my family on a full-time basis.

This can change in the future, but currently Albertson's does not accept a high "thank you-to-post" ratio as legal tender.

And then you make excuses for your behavior and continue putting others down for like behavior.

When I first started blogging on the IHB, I felt the need to defend Graphrix, and would do so.

No longer do I defend him, not because he is not worth it, but because he can and does defend himself adequately. The following I am writing not to defend Graph, but rather on the off chance that you may learn something.

Graph's posts over the years have provided value and he does have credibility. He has posted facts which were not mainstream knowledge, but were facts, and he posted opinions that were not popular, but he backed them up with evidence, and his opinions have shown to be valuable over time. If you had the time, you could go back in the posts and see that there have been many people who were saved from losing their life savings because they made a decision not to purchase a home after reading the IHB when the IHB was one of the few voices questioning the commonly held views on the real estate market. Graph was and is a large part of that voice.

The next question, although condescending, is food for your thought.

What have you contributed?

Not just to the IHB, but to the world?

Or your community?

Are you helping people with your advice, or is your advice given to enrich yourself at others expense?

When I first got out of school, I had not made much of a contribution to society, and no one including myself should have expected as much. But, as with you, it would have been better if instead of voicing my opinion based on limited experience, I would have done better to ask questions which although would show my lack of experience and knowledge, would not expose my absolute ignorance.

Isnt' there a saying? "Better to keep one's mouth shut and be thought a fool, then to open it and remove all doubt."

If you are finding that the real world is exactly the opposite of what university professors taught you, then you are on the right road.

Lastly, I fear I was much like you at your age, more than I care to acknowldege.

Robert,

Just be yourself that's what's important. I certainly don't care of if you are an UCI MBA alumni or a college drop out, nor is it important if you sold more homes than IR2 or just studying to get your sales license. In the early days of IHB it was quite funny seeing the guys stacking themselves against each other. I make $300,000 a year how much do you make? Trojanman posting up a picture of his brand new Porche making us Honda drivers look like low class citizens (Just Kidding Trojanman, you know Panda loves you man. :) )

You are very lucky to have found IHB at your age, there are lot of people here with great knowledge and wisdom. Awgee is a bit older than us 20s and 30s folks here but has shared of a lot of his life experience and investment wisdom that is worth many ounces of gold. Be resepectful of others, and they will be respectful to you. Stick around and you will be able to develop some valuable friendships here. As for Graphrix, I hate to admit this, but he is a pretty smart cookie. I have no idea how he ended up going to a SF Art school instead of graduating Cum laude at UC Berkeley. Most importantly, share a little bit about yourself and let us get to know you.

Good luck.

I understand, but I just thought you guys should be aware of how it came across. If I was new to the forums and two people starting asking for my business right off the bat it would scare me off. I think most people that come to this site are coming for a free exchange of information and ideas. I don't think they expect to be approached for a business relationship. I have no doubt you guys would do right by him as realtors. IMO, it would never get to that point because the approach was too aggressive.
