Pool is much better. They have fountains, which is a much better background noise than traffic. Nicer to look at too IMO.

As others have mentioned, it seems there will be another "Event" in the summer. I wonder what the prices will be then? It seems more people buy in the summer time and the interest rates may be a tad lower... could they really sell them for more than their current spring prices?

These lofts are marketed to the young out of college crowd that still wishes to relive that life.

When you see their ads, it's way more party oriented then family oriented.

They play up the fact that they are by many hot spots like Gardenwalk and the block.

Those two reasons would actually discourage me from buying a unit there. Both places have become teenage gangstar hangouts.

There is NOTHING but commercial property around this area.

The Stadium, All the tile shops on State College, and Disneyland.

The "Fritz Too" Strip bar is close by on Katella. Thats a good local culture spot.

And the view of the HUGE empty lot across the street. Priceless. Thanks Lennar.

I wouldn't worry much about teenage gangsters ponying up $375,000 for a 1200 sq. ft. 2-bedroom condo.

Actually the Block is more just dead these days. :blank: Pity, I used to like it.

When I was at Stadium Lofts on a Sunday afternoon it had a nice atmosphere with some late 30ish guys having a barbeque (and setting off my gaydar) and an asian family playing in the pool. Can't vouch for what it's like at 3 AM rather than 3 PM though.

Check out page 11 in the OC Register today (main section). Full page ad for the Stadium Lofts with the title:

"Final Week to Tour & Pre-qualify. Up to 250k off!"

Then they have at least 50 units listed there. Something tells me this won't be the final week.

If I had a dollar for every RE ad where it mentioned "Final Week" or "Last change at these prices" I could buy the Irvine Company and still have money left over to buy the Lakers.

Just curious, but where is the closest grocery store to this project? Can you walk to it? If you can walk to it, would you? How far is Trader Joe's from here? If it is 1AM and I need to go to the store for a vodka and olive run, where do I go where I won't jacked for my cash and find something other than Popov (a premium vodka in this hood)?

If I am living "urban", then I expect the normal "amenities" to be within walking distance.

There's that Market Especial or whatever over north of Katella on Anaheim Blvd which is probablly the closest.

Vons is a little Closer. Up Chapman north into Garbage Grove. About a mile and 1/2 walk each way. I would suggest "packing if you hava a permit" for this walk after 9:00 PM. Plenty of local 7-11`s if you just need a beer are close. Good Liquor store up at Ball road next door to the All Nude Sahara Club. Thats walkable. About a mile each way. True "Urban Living" in Anaheim. The strip clubs are closer than the Grocery Stores. LOL.

It's way farther than that. I can walk to that Vons from my place, but from the Lofts...not happening. Remember it's on the other side of the 5 from there.

And the lack of a walkable grocery store is the reason I didn't even consider that location. I kept looking in the plans for the Platinum Triangle for one, but they kept me guessing. I'm not living in a "loft" or "highrise" unless I can walk to get food, dry cleaning, the gym, and other practical locations. Why live like that if you still have to drive places?

Your right. I was thinking like Orangewood not Chapman. Chapman is clear past the

other side of the Stadium. Almost to the Block. Yikes thats a haul.

Guess that Ralphs in Orange would be the closest large chain market.

At least if you need a 40 Oz. the AM PM is right across the street.

Just to say that you live in a loft?

I wouldn't care what others thought so I wouldn't be going around saying that I lived in a loft. However, I lived in NYC for a bit and I enjoyed the city life. I didn't drive a car the whole time and I lost weight due to all the exercise. It's not for everyone, however.
