DHS is violating a court order to remove a group of detainees to South Sudan, lawyers told a federal judge on Tuesday.

Around one dozen people — including a person with a removal order to Myanmar and a person with a removal order to Vietnam — were loaded onto planes and sent to South Sudan on Tuesday, court filings say. The deportations are either currently in progress or have already taken place, lawyers for the group wrote.

In another case described in Tuesday’s court filings, lawyers attached an email from the wife of a person with a removal order to Vietnam. Per that account, ICE officials told detainees that they were to be sent to South Africa, before returning to correct themselves and tell the group of their true destination: South Sudan.

Ketchup maker Kraft Heinz investing $3 billion upgrading US manufacturing

The upgrades will help lower costs by making the plants more efficient, which in turn may help offset President Donald Trump's tariffs, which factored into the company's decision to make the investment, said Pedro Navio, Kraft Heinz's president of North America, in an interview with Reuters.

The investment also allows the packaged food maker to come up with and sell new products faster, he said.

90 Percent of US Companies Plan to Reshore Amid Tariffs, Allianz Survey Finds

Most firms also plan to raise prices as the U.S. tariffs drive broad shifts in supply chains and pricing strategies.

Nine out of 10 U.S. companies say they expect to bring some or all of their production or sourcing back home in response to new tariffs imposed under President Donald Trump’s trade policy, according to the latest Allianz Trade Global Survey.
The survey, published on May 20, hints at an acceleration in reshoring efforts as U.S. firms adapt to the tariffs, as Trump pursues a global trade reset to boost domestic manufacturing and correct what he says are decades of unfair practices by other countries that put the United States at a disadvantage.
Allianz researchers found that roughly 90 percent of U.S. companies plan to reshore or switch to domestic suppliers in the wake of the April 2 global tariff announcement. U.S. firms ranked among the most likely in the world to pursue domestic sourcing, alongside companies in Italy and Spain.

Curious questions....

1) Harris doesn't have a pardon. Why not ask her under oath who was running the government in 2023-2024 when Corn Pops was incapacitated?

2) Doesn't the White House have a tape recording system any longer like during the Nixon era? I'm sure there has to be some record of what went on during the last 2 years of Corn Pops reign.

3) Why hasn't the Coppertone Caligula asked these questions? Seems like the kind of low hanging fruit he's capable of harvesting.

Freed Israeli Hostage Says Hamas Captors Were Rooting for Harris to Beat Trump

An Israeli hostage who was held by Hamas for more than 500 days before he was freed says his captors were hoping Vice President Kamala Harris would win the 2024 presidential election — and that his treatment improved after President Trump won.

“Before we felt like nothing is happening, and I remember ever since [Trump] came into the role, they were very scared of him,” Omer Shem Tov told CNN.

“They wanted Kamala to be elected; but as soon as Donald Trump was elected, they understood that he wants to bring the hostages back home. So, immediately the way they treated me changed,” Shem Tov said.
