President Trump Tests Positive for COVID-19

What most are missing in all the Kaos...

The Democrats and their friends in the Fourth Estate could hardly believe their luck when the news broke that President Trump had contracted COVID-19. They clearly believe he is finished politically and that their Potemkin presidential candidate will now win the upcoming election in a walk. The following headline from Politico captures this collective delusion: ?Biden looks to seal election after Trump?s week from hell.? This is precisely how they reacted to the Hollywood Access tape that was released at the same point in the 2016 presidential race. Most ?experts? pronounced the Trump campaign dead, and Hillary Clinton began measuring the drapes for the Oval Office.
What none of these people bothered to do was calibrate the effect of the tape on Trump?s actual supporters. Consequently, we began to see headlines like this one published by CBS News on October 10, 2016: ?Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by 14 points nationally.? This story attributed Clinton?s illusory lead to the ?lewd comments about women in 2005.? By October 18, the RealClearPolitics average indicated that Clinton?s alleged lead in the national polls had grown to 7.1 percent. In the end, of course, Trump voters ignored the Hollywood Access tape, and he had far more supporters in key battleground states than the pollsters and pundits imagined in their wildest nightmares.

Regardless of political stance, it is a statement of fact that Trump has been reckless in how he has handled his own COVID diagnosis.

- Speculation, but it is believed he knew he was exposed to a COVID prior yet made public appearances anyways
- Doing an unmasked "meet & greet" with supporters outside the hospital
- Returning to the White House and breaking quarantine UNMASKED

At this point, the White House has more coronavirus cases than Taiwan, New Zealand, and Vietnam combined. That's pretty alarming.

;D ;D :) >:D ...He is immune..he has the antibodies!!

White House physician Dr. Sean Conley said Tuesday that the president?s blood was showing antibodies for COVID-19.

?Of note today, the president?s labs demonstrated detectable levels of SARS-CoV-2 IgG (COVID-19) antibodies from labs drawn Monday, October 5th,? Conley wrote in a memo sent to reporters. He added that the president?s blood work drawn on Thursday did not show any antibodies.

Conley said that President Trump had been ?symptom-free? for over 24 hours and fever-free for more than 4 days.

?His physical exam and vital signs including oxygen saturation and respiratory rate all remain stable and in normal range,? Conley wrote. ?He?s now been fever-free for more than 4 days, symptom-free for over 24 hours.?

The president is scheduled to debate former Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday, October 15th, in Miami.

Trump does not care and wants to get rid of affordable care act without a replacement. When people lost their jobs they lost their insurance. (Cobra payments are high)

Having immunity or not, it does not mean you cannot transmit. Every creditable physician has recommended 14 days as a guideline. Trump has quarantined for less than 24 hours. Taiwan forces all incoming people to self-quarantine for 14 days. Look at the success there.

Good point. Also there are cases that people can get covid again.

Axios:

Lack of trust in a potential coronavirus vaccine is becoming a truly major problem, according to a new Stat/Harris Poll survey shared with Axios.

By the numbers: 79% of respondents said they would worry about a vaccine's safety if it's approved quickly, and 75% said they worry about politics ? rather than science ? driving the process.

Axios-Ipsos poll: Americans won't take Trump's word on vaccine

Lets cut to the number in the poll that matters - vs. your snippets talking about the politics. We already know people don't trust Trump - the bigger picture that I keep telling you is these companies continue to say they are going to do the right thing.  Why would they act on Trump's behalf to speed things up a month early and open themselves up to potential legal litigation that would literally put them out of business. They have no incentive - maybe if Trump was leading the polls by double digits - they would under some view of litigation protection, but Trump is sinking massively in the polls (not saying he's going to lose - I don't buy the polls, especially when it comes to Trump - won't count him out until the election is over), so no company is going to do things because of Trump's hammer at this point (the dude has zero leverage).

The important stat of the poll is the one you are ignoring - which is to no surprise since you make everything political vs. factual (its unfortunate how both sides of the aisles extremes are complete and utter hypocrites - but in some ways that is the one constant of politics) - 54% of the population says they WILL take a vaccine and an even higher percentage (58%) say they will get their kids vaccine.  That isn't as high of a number as I would have liked - but that is still a pretty high number given how polarized our country is and fact that you already have a chunk of the population that are anti-vaxxers that are never going to take this thing.

It is a trust problem with Trump. That is what it comes down to.
Some people they are skipping corners. Maybe even skipping a trial phase.

You are sounding more and more like a fake Republican.
I'm glad I sound like a fake republican - since I'm not a republican.  I'm trying to outline facts...and where I talk politics it is to point fingers at you for bringing politics into the equation.

All of these are facts...agree completely.

Is the one that starts out ?speculation? a fact? :)

The statement of fact is that he is reckless. I forgot to also mention, telling people there's nothing to worry about when so many Americans have died is also asinine. Just because he was able to get the best healthcare available that is not available to many then yea there's "nothing to worry about".

1. You forgot the joyride.  ;D
2. Trump privately said to Woodward that covid is deadly.
