There is something to be said for getting out of one's own bubble. I hope you realize that you could do that here too (maybe not in Irvine though). I'm sure it feels good to have some male attention and I think everyone knows you aren't going to do anything stupid. So enjoy the attention.

Okay gang, please scratch everything I have been lamenting about (my inability to attract male attention). I am up in San Jose right now at a meeting in a hotel for the week. It's only Wednesday and I have been hit on by no less than FOUR men! It had been so many years that I had forgotten how to flirt, and now I feel like a movie star or something.

So clearly the problem is not so much with ISM as it is with ISM's environment. All I needed to do was spend my time in a hotel in San Jose where a software company meeting is also taking place. Voila! Instant sex appeal!

Are you looking to date or have sex? If you're looking for a man to date, see how long it lasts when he finds out you're not interested in sex. You sould know how conferences at a hotel are. It's a situation where men are away from their wives, strip away their wedding rings, and look for sex. If you're looking for sex, then Voila! you got it! If no, just be careful...thats all.

Please...you know I'm not like that. However, I've been to plenty of conference meetings. I was at one recently in Dallas at the Gaylord Texan. All you see is people get wasted in the evenings, flirt like they are in highschool and sneak up to a room. I clearly remember this chic who was probably around 25 or so and was sitting at a table with 9 men probably all in theri 50s. You think none of them were married? I bet they all were, but yet they were all over her like they never seen a girl in their life. I don't need to go into details. Most know that this is typical of conference meetings. Or even company annual meetings that are held at hotels etc. Think college...how you partied and hooked up...well this is same thing but grown-up style. I don't judge though, all to their own.

But no. I'm married and I love my wife to death. That's my style and how I roll. I would even kill Pandas for her.

Uh, yeah...so I'm up here in my hotel room hanging out in the IHB Forums, not doing anything fun with my new conference friends. I have an upstanding reputation to maintain on IHB, thank you very much! :snake: ...I know you're right about the atmosphere in a hotel during a conference and so I realize the attention is purely shallow. But I'm okay with that! It's still very different and fun for me.

I'm here to defend sex. Sex is awesome, great exercise, and completely guilt free when the right precautions are taken. Obviously, those with commitments should honor them. But let's not denegrate the most fun one can have indoors simply because a few men make the rest of us look bad. Sex, just by itself, is incredibly satisfying.

ISM, I'm glad you got to be the center of attention for a while. Some times that's all it takes to restore one's self-confidence. You'll be fending off quality single men all the time when you get back home.

Uh, Panda, this is just good advice and common knowledge. I can also spot the "talent" that is in the area around the Anaheim and Garden Grove convention centers just for the guys who are out of their normal environment and looking for a little...um...recreation.

No matter the intentions of the gentlemen, it can still be flattering to be hit on so congrats, ISM!
