Is it allowed to park in the motorcourt?

Of course, come as you are and park as long as you can.

As long as test don't take the picture of your car parked there, post on the internet and got HOA's attention, you are fine.  :)

Actually for Marigold, you are not suppose to block the shared driveway.

you know test - he drives around Irvine and takes random pictures. (cars parked in driveway etc...)  ;)

I don't know who test is but he should definitely join the Irvine police department

Test is our friendly TI troll..

If everyone would just park in the motor court like this the streets would be clear  :)

If I was not able to park in my garage due to my neighbor blocking the way,  can I just box in his car?
Yes - double park so he cant get out. =P

Be careful who you blocked, you don't want to mess with ZeroLot or RCV.  I've hear of horrible things happen in this part of Cypress village.  Mice disappears and insects drop dead for no reason. :)

Anybody at Marigold receive a copy of their appraisal?  I'm buying a home at Marigold and I just received my appraisal last week.  For some reason the appraiser selected the "Declining Market" which triggered my lender to change the LTV from 80 to 75%.  My mortgage broker advised me that this was incorrect and was corrected.  I was just curious what others have experienced.

We got our appraisal when we closed the house 2 months ago and it was $25K higher than what we purchased our house at.

Yeah my appraisal was higher than my purchase price but there is a check box indicating "Declining Market".  I don't think the appraiser did an accurate job.

That's interesting.  I wonder if the appraiser hired by the preferred lender will apprised a little differently and more inclined to use the term "declining market" in their report.

Marigold never had any fireplaces.  I don't miss the maintenance of one but I do miss not seeing a fireplace in the house.

I tried to convince Mr. Z to go with a Real Flame fireplace ... but he said no.

I'm still working on that.

Current pricing for Marigold extension:

Residence 1) $760,200
Residence 2) $777,700 (lucky number 7?)
Residence 3) $789,100
Residence 3X) $796,000

I did the walkthrough today.  I had mixed feelings about the quality of the work though NOT the house itself.  There were a lot of scuff marks on the cabinet doors, walls, and stair rails.  I know that it's inevitable to not have scuff marks here and there but it seemed excessive.  The front door handle had punched a slight hole in the drywall.  The crown molding in the living room seemed uneven at places.  I ordered the soft close cabinet doors and drawers but there were a few that seemed defective.  The builder had already marked a window to be replaced.  I'm sure I will find more things after I move in.

On a brighter note, I actually liked the standard convection oven and dish washer.  I guess I was expecting the very basic appliances.

Did anyone get an e-mail from Villages of Irvine saying that Marigold was starting from the "Low 700s"?
