George Washington statue toppled by protesters in Portland, Oregon

Portland, Oregon ? A statue of George Washington was pulled down by protesters on Thursday night, which was Juneteenth eve, reports CBS Portland affiliate KOIN-TV. The nation's first president owned slaves.

KOIN said Thursday marked the 21st day of demonstrations for racial justice and police reform sparked by the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police. Two groups ? Rose City Justice and Lavender Caucus ? hosted a sit-in rally at Jefferson High School in the evening where community members shared their experiences with racism with a crowd of a few hundred.

A separate group of about 20 people met around 10 p.m. at the site of the large bronze statue of Washington.

Some wrapped the statue's head in an American flag and lit the flag on fire.

Their numbers grew over the next hour until there were enough people to pull it down. They quickly scattered.

A KOIN news crew found the statue face down and covered in graffiti.

The syllogistic reasoning of these disgusting revolutionaries goes like this:

America is irredeemably racist. Racism is evil. Most of the Founding Fathers were slaveholders. Therefore, they were evil racists. Therefore, everything they did or created must be condemned, destroyed and cast adrift. Therefore, the Constitution of the United States must be eliminated.

This is their ultimate and unshakable goal. It is paramount. It is cast in reinforced bomb-proof concrete. It is impervious to facts or reason or debate let alone decency. They have not matured into totalitarians because that is how they started out in the very first place.

To paraphrase Oliver Wendell Holmes, revolution has many tools but a lie is the handle that fits them all. The lie, and it?s more massive than the size of Jupiter, is that America is systemically racist. It is a convenient and incendiary claim but one that is in inverse proportion to the evidence that can be produced for it. The anti-racist racists just don?t care. It?s the revolution that counts. Nothing else matters, nothing, not your freedom, not your life, not the truth, not justice, not kindness, just the revolution, always and always and always the revolution. That is why we cannot debate them to victory but must crush them without compunction.

In the meantime, one ought to remember that the Jellyfish has survived for 650 million years without the benefit of a brain. This should give some hope to our tormentors and their rent-a-mob collaborators with bumper-sticker intellects.

1 teen killed, 1 injured after 4th shooting near Seattle's CHOP

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is investigating a deadly shooting near the ?Capitol Hill Organized Protest? (CHOP) zone Monday morning.

Police responded to the area around 3 a.m. and found a Jeep Cherokee "riddled with bullets," Police Chief Carmen Best said.

Susan Gregg, a spokesperson for Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, said early Monday an unidentified male and a 14-year-old were transported to the hospital in critical condition after being shot. The Seattle Police Department later said the unidentified male is 16 years old.

The 14-year-old arrived at the hospital by a private vehicle from the CHOP around 3:15 a.m.

The 16-year-old was transported to the hospital by Seattle Fire Department medics and arrived at the hospital around 3:30 a.m. The teen later died.

The Jeep was towed away from the CHOP Monday morning.

Homicide detectives searched for evidence in the Jeep but it was "abundantly clear" people had gone through the vehicle after the shooting, according to Chief Best.

Detectives interviewed protesters who said they were in the CHOP at the time of the shooting. People are not cooperating, according to Chief Best.

There is no suspect description at this time.

This is at least the fourth shooting in or near the CHOP in nine days.
