Leftist Insanity Escalates

Homosexuals can be Democrats or Republicans.

So "rightists" can be homosexual too? Aren't you now contradicting yourself?

Also sounds like @StarmanMBA is in love with me.

@zovall Are you going to continue to allow this hate speech? Or maybe this is mental illness. Either way... these type of posts do not belong on TI.

And @morekaos, shame on you for siding with @StarmanMBA, it's sad. especially considering where you live.

Clearly the post of a homosexual, triggered by facts I have presented.
Added to my Ignore List for obvious reasons.
Ciao brutto

You really want to go down the path of labeling posts you don't like hate speech and then censoring them? What about all the anti-Mainlander posts that many on TI have taken glee in participating in? How about the anti-Christian posts... Are we still allowed to debate God? Is CareBears still allowed to vent profanity-laced tirades at buying a peak bubble home? Where do you draw the line?

Just ignore the threads or posters you don't like. Problem solved.

Actually you can ask zovall but I have reported many posts on TI, some of which you have mentioned. This is one of the few I have publicly reported because the poster has done this several times.

Do you agree with his position? I would hope you would agree this is hate speech too.

When you write stuff like this, it doesn't come across as sincere that you are a crusader against hate speech.
How? You do know his area has a large demographic of what Starman is hating against.

And let's not pretend you are defending any just cause here.

You just like to poke at me (and Irvine) because we're making you look bad.

And you didn't answer the question... do you feel the same way as Starman about LGBTQ+?

Time to put the cards on the table.

Anybody should be able to say (or write) anything they want. If you censor anyone's words, that is another form of hate speech since you're taking a position to hate those words. Instead of trying to censor or cancel, just express your opinions with strong argument. BTW, does zovall run TI?

Actually... TI has rules and there are certain things you can't post here (disclosing personal information of a minor is one example).

This is a privately owned forum that is publicly accessed. Censorship is not what is being requested. As a member here... I would prefer not to see people post things that are hateful towards certain groups. There are some things that are questionable... like LL's hate towards Irvine but that doesn't bother me so I don't request that the moderator do something about it. Even Starman calling me homosexual is not offensive to me... but what he is accusing homosexuals of, that doesn't belong here... in my opinion. If that's okay to LL or you... that's your opinion... and if you agree with that Starman's stance... then that is something we don't agree on. But don't say Starman has right to post that here. This is NOT Facebook or X or Truth Social. I would prefer not to see this type of vitriol on TI and if LL is so offended by anti-Mainland China posts.. he should speak up. I created the God thread and I am not offended by anything in there because no one has posted anything on the level of hate that Starman has (that I can remember). I don't recall anyone calling Christians serial killers and pedophiles.

Where can we find the TI rules? Maybe I didn't read them. If TI has certain rules, I would respect them. If I don't agree with those rules, I would simply leave this forum. BTW, does zovall run TI?

The NSFW policy could apply to both the profanity posts and Starman's posts.

I'll let zovall answer your question as I don't know anymore... he used to admin it.

"We ask you to refrain from the following:
-Spam or warez

-Impersonation of staff or other members
-Information regarding minors.
-Re-posting of any information deleted by, or re-starting a thread locked by, the staff

-Posts deemed NSFW"

The only thing that was violated from these I've seen so far is some people made YF/BTB impersonation burner accounts back in the days. I guess there were some spams too. But I don't consider StarmanMBA's posts as NSFW. This is where is it gets vague or becomes subjective matters.

NSFW means nudity, not speech that somebody might find offensive.

Actually, NSFW is broader than just nudity. Not sure if you've been to any HR trainings at your work lately but the scope of what can be deemed Not Safe For Work is much larger.

From Wikipedia:

The marked content may contain graphic violence, pornography, profanity, nudity, slurs or other potentially disturbing subject matter.

Basically, if you can't say/discuss/show it at most work places... it's NSFW.

NSFW is not an HR term, but rather an internet culture term that has been around for a long time. The idea was not to open an email or attachment labeled NSFW because if your boss saw you looking at it, you would get in trouble.

If TI has a rule against NSFW going back to when the forum started, that should mean don't post something that could get yourself or others in trouble at work. I don't think Starman's name calling or CareBear's use of profanity rises to that level.

Not sure what you are saying... but NSFW is not just nudity... that's why I said above the profanity and hate speech "could" be considered NSFW.

I mention HR because it sounds like you need training as ultimately, HR does decide what is "safe" or "not safe" in the workplace.

Let's see you use profanity at a meeting... or even worse... say the same derogatory remarks that Starman said towards any group of people. Remember, I wasn't saying that his name calling was NSWF... but his homophobic stereotyping (serial killers and pedophiles) was.

Again, you are just taking a side against me rather than admitting what Starman did was offensive and inappropriate for this forum. Or... I ask you again... do you agree with his views on homosexuality?

This debate is getting silly. TI is a forum not a meeting at work. Your HR department has no say over how this site is administered.
