I guess they have opted for a strategy of pricing the home high relative to Nellie Gail comps, and then dropping 1% every now and then to entice a buyer.

Ya, I'm a bit surprised on this... Jerry's listing that house. From my experience with him, he seemed like a good guy, and I've got alot of friends who have done business with him and highly recommended him.
The 1% a week thing screams like something a "for sale by owner" would do.
