$1607 per square foot!
I saw this home featured on a TV show some time back. It's an ugly son-of-a-gun. I guess they think the view justifies the price.

The interior . . . Oh, the interior . . . These people really did want to live in a castle in Europe. The decor is Tudor Disneyland. I can't even begin to comprehend the kitchen cabinets. You really have to see it for yourself. Given the inside, I don't understand why there isn't a replica of the Matterhorn in the yard.

How did the city let them build it?

This house is off the market?!?!?! I'll admit to driving up to the gate to get a better look and checking the status of this one from time to time.

It's amazing how people can live in a home for 40+ years and not update a thing! But I guess it paid off for the family of these owners as this home is in escrow. Maybe it's not so much the fancy upgrades that account for a home's value, but rather the neighborhood and upkeep of the property. A classic style will always be in demand I suppose.
