So now it’s all about performance? Look, I could care less if you want to go 0-60 in 3 seconds…power to you…just don’t get that on the taxpayers dime. You want to do that quietly? Great, don’t use my tax money to subsidize your purchase…that is my complaint….but that is getting fixed now so let’s see what happens.🤷🏽‍♂️😂😂😂🦄🌈

And this is why we go to ChatGPT.em earn

Waste of time talking to you.
Bigger waste of time not thinking for yourself and letting the Singularity think for you. My gripe has always been about misuse of public funds to finance an unproven policy. If EVs are superior products…let them earn that title in the free markets!!Merica!!👍🏽😂🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Again, your problem is you don't look at the actual comparison of technology but what should I expect from someone who doesn't understand it.

This thread is about what kind of car people prefer and you talk about political points. It's a Technology forum... keep your drivel in your water cooler spam threads.

But I get it, you're not equipped to converse about technology, so I'll let chatgpt banter the non topical points with you.

The consumer is who decides if “superior” technology is worth the price…like I said, now that the crutches are taken away let’s see if your “superior technology” will stand on its own and thrive. You have to admit, massive accelerated adoption did not materialize as you hoped. (And I predicted). Now let’s see how it goes with which kind of car people “prefer”.😂😂👍🏽🇺🇸

Definition of a doom loop…😂😂👎🏽🦄🌈

EV’s are depreciating much faster than gas-powered cars

Plummeting resale values are threatening to derail the world’s transition to electric transportation.

  • Ride-hailing, rental, and corporate electric fleets the world over are quickly losing value.
  • EVs depreciate significantly faster than gas-powered cars, especially older vehicles purchased by early adopters.
  • The resale value of electric vehicles is collapsing worldwide, hurting private owners and fleet operators.
  • The crisis became especially apparent when BluSmart, India’s pioneering all-electric ride-hailing service, collapsed in April amid financial fraud allegations. The Delhi-based company’s fleet of thousands of cars, originally worth over $12,000 each, suddenly flooded the market at about $3,000.
  • For Tesla owners in the U.S., their 2023 Model Ys are worth 42% less than what they paid two years ago, while a Ford F-150 truck bought the same year depreciated just 20%. Older EV models depreciate even faster than newer ones.
  • The crisis exposes the fundamental problem that nobody really knows what electric cars are worth in the secondhand market, as their value is largely tied to batteries with uncertain lifespans.
