Tesla only stayed alive by selling clean car credits to the other ice producers. It all was a scam, it’s why I have a gem golf cart. Some quarters it was their only income but they still showed losses. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Additionally there were times when they were about the only ones using the tax credits. That company only exists because of government largesse. It would’ve collapsed years ago without them. Elon musk is a genius, at using other peoples money. Just look at his solar companies.

Lol. So you do realize how barriers of entries work with incentives and subsidies.

They took advantage of them back then, sure, but the tax incentives ran out couple years ago for tesla and people still bought them without incentives for the past several years. Market demand is there.

Scam because you couldn’t take advantage of them (much like solar), but that’s on you. I love my solar and the energy it produces for my EV. Too bad you didn’t have that foresight

like I said, Elon musk is a genius, at using other peoples money. I don’t short him one bit for that. He used our money to support his businesses. That company would not exist without an enormous amount of taxpayer money, but in the end it’s only going to benefit the rich as a neat toy, and we footed the bill. It isn’t going to save the planet. Weather gonna weather. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I doubt your version is the reality. You still think Teslas cost $100k.
MK sure is out of touch… a neat toy? That’s the ev golf cart he has. People use teslas as real daily commuting vehicle.

We already showed it’s possible, couple weeks/months ago to buy the model 3 under $40k in inventory (before any current tax incentives).

It’s not like they are so outrageously high compared to avg new vehicles

To be fair, yes, Tesla initially came out with very high priced vehicles and relied on incentives and subsidies, but isn’t that the point to get them to mass produce what they have now. The 3 and the Y wouldn’t be possible. I’m all for innovation even if they get a little push, assistance. (Just like the fossil fuels did in the beginning). But being more of an optimist, I’d rather see a Star Trek future instead of MK’s mad max one where people scrounge for oil and Gulag.

Nice…for ICE…

Average New Car Price Actually Drops, but It's Still over $48,000

but back on earth (not the Starship Enterprise) ….😮😂😂😂

The average price of the top ten electric vehicles in the US is about $61,442,

with an average of $54,915 for the low end trim of each model and $67,969 for the high end trim of each model.

9Kia EV6$48,700 – $61,60020,498
10Rivian R1T$73,000 – $94,000

Hmmm…the difference between those average prices sure does add up…

$61,422.00 - $48,000.00 = $13,422.00…That buys about 3356 gallons of gas at $4.00…in a pretty average ICE that will get you around 98,000 miles of driving. Stick to ICE

Thanks for proving my point, look at those numbers, Y and 3, the top 2 accounts for what looks like 70% of the units sold, and that price ranges are $47k-54k for the Y, $40k-53k for the 3, and before tax incentives, so it's actually lower than avg price of a new car of $48k 💩🤡🤑🤕

Rather be in the starship enterprise than being stuck in the past :giggle::coffee:

Except you didn't account for tax incentives, federal and state. Win win for consumers

no one on this board will qualify for those incentives, and anyone who does isn’t gonna buy an electric vehicle, just not practical for Manuel the gardener.🤷🏽‍♂️🤣🤣🤣
