While Buffett and Munger may have a personal distaste for cryptocurrency, the superstar investment pair may be seeing an entirely different kind of opportunity in digital financial service providers like Nubank.
There is huge competition among up-and-coming digital banks in Latin America, where a large portion of the population feels underserved by the traditional banking and financial system. Companies like Nubank are looking to tap into a massive potential consumer market of people largely dissatisfied with the existing system.
“There is so much opportunity in the [Latin America] region. The combination of a great population, horrible customer experiences, and very high fees, it is unmatched,” Nubank cofounder Cristina Junqueira told Fortune last June. “Worldwide there is no place that is better suited in terms of having a great opportunity for fintech companies to tackle.”

You really think they care that Activision makes violent games or that General Motors makes military weapons?…or that visa bankrupts people?…they let their businesses run themselves. As Crypto Soars, Exchanges Decline Requests To Freeze Russian Funds
Binance was the first crypto exchange to decline the request stating that they are:
“not going to unilaterally freeze millions of innocent users' accounts. Crypto was meant to provide greater financial freedom for people across the globe".
They will, however, be “...blocking accounts of those on the sanctions list... and ensuring that all sanctions are met in full”
Two other major cryptoexchanges, Coinbase Global and Kraken, also declined the request from Ukraine.
The CEO of Kraken stated on Twitter that the company “cannot freeze the accounts of our Russian clients without a legal requirement to do so”.
A Coinbase spokesperson told Reuters that the major exchange "will not institute a blanket ban on all Coinbase transactions involving Russian addresses."
