coronavirus

All just signaling and CYA...few will really enforce this...like the BTS concert...no one really checked... ;D ;D >:D

SOFI STADIUM
WE CHECKED VAX CARDS FOR BTS FANS
Attendees Say Otherwise

SoFi Stadium seemed a little too easy to slip into ahead of a big BTS concert -- so much so that many felt COVID protocols were being broken ... even though the venue refutes that.

The Korean pop band performed Saturday at the arena in L.A., and as the gates opened for ticketholders ... some say they saw laxed screenings by security and other personnel, which they believe also meant vaccination cards weren't being checked or enforced.

Ditto for bags ... tons of people online, who presumably were there, claim nobody was taking a look at anyone's personal belongings

Hmm... most anti-vax (not anti-mandate) people seem to be from a certain political spectrum. I just don't understand why... health science is apolitical.

And it is the left wing government want to use Covid to keep control and retain power over people. You just need to go out sometimes and see COVID is no longer a big deal.

Not sure how you make this assertion. Wasn't it Trump who pushed Operation Warp Speed to make the vaccines? And now that they are out... (free and accessible to everyone)... it's a control mechanism?

Would morekaos be so anti-vax and anti-mandate (he is both if you read his "virus gonna virus" rhetoric) if Trump was still in office?

I just don't get this left/right vax insanity... same thing happened with masks and lockdowns.

Mandates not gonna make it...

Federal judge blocks Biden vaccine mandate for health care workers in South Dakota, 9 other states

A federal judge blocked the federal government on Monday from mandating COVID-19 vaccinations for health care workers in South Dakota and nine other states.

U.S. District Judge Matthew Schelp in the Eastern District of Missouri wrote in his ruling that regulations handed down by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services earlier this month were issued improperly. The agency did not get approval from Congress to mandate vaccinations for health care workers, Schelp wrote, which he argued was necessary given the mandate's "vast economic and political significance." The rules were also issued without a standard period for public comment, which Schelp said the agency's justification for was not suitable.

"Truly, the impact of this mandate reaches far beyond COVID," Schelp wrote. "CMS seeks to overtake an area of traditional state authority by imposing an unprecedented demand to federally dictate the private medical decisions of millions of Americans. Such action challenges traditional notions of federalism."

Like Howard Stern said: Did Aaron Rodgers see a foot specialist or Joe Rogan for advice regarding his toe? Why would Rodgers see Joe Rogan about covid?

*** George Washington issued small pox  vaccination. ***

An estimated 90% of deaths in the Continental Army were caused by disease, and the most vicious were variants of smallpox, according to the U.S. Library of Congress.

That's why Gen. Washington made the controversial decision to order the mass inoculation of his soldiers, an effort to combat spread of the disease that was at the time a major deterrent to enlistments and posed the risk of debilitating his army and tipping the balance of power against America's first warfighters.

I guess George Washington the first President of the US can issue a vaccine mandate, but not Biden.

Unbelievable

* We are turning into a third world country. (Just like Howard Stern said) We have the best vaccine and health care system in the world. But the other side is making it harder.

Well now that Saint Fauci has uttered it?but who has said this for  months?hmmm, let me think?

Over the weekend, Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden, admitted that ?we?re going to have to start living with COVID. I believe that?s the case because I don?t think we?re going to eradicate it.?

George Washington exempted solders with natural immunity. The COVID vaccine mandate covers everyone without any good science to back it up, even the kids to whom Covid is no different than a common cold/flu.

What is this with "good science to back it up"? Right wingers don't believe in science. Right wingers don't trust doctors and scientists.

Misdirection. Please tell the whole story.
(comparing oranges and apples)
Once you get small pox you cant get it again. You can still get covid once you get it again. Also, 7 million plus died of covid. How come they died? The natural immunity did not work for them unfortunately. [throws out the immunity argument out the window]

1. Washington sent a force to Boston that already got small
Pox.
2. There was going to be an invasion of Quebec. But it did not happen because the force became ill.
So he had to come up with a way to fight the war. Giving covid to people so they can become immune like the small pox would not work.

Benjamin Franklin and John Adams supported the inoculation.
Benjamin Franklin frequently talked about it in his Philadelphia newspaper.

He is giving 1/4 truth but does not want to tell the whole story. So people can understand the context.
If I get this right. He is proposing to infect people with covid like small pox? We already know the answer. 7 million plus people have died!
They are just throwing stuff on the wall with no logic. If it is logic please explain it.

Hopefully, Omicron isn't as deadly as Delta.

Unfortunately, JIMHO, the last thing we need with Delta and the other 1% killers rolling around is a just a cold variant that doesn?t offer immunity to the other variants.

Covid isn?t fatal enough to otherwise healthy young middle age and younger to cause great concern in the masses and yet way too deadly to just treat as a fact of life like the flu.

It?s clear it?s endemic, like the flu variant every year, sadly it appears we will need to wait until we have a 10% killer or a child killer before people just want to ignore it.

In my opinion I think OAN should do a segment explaining why they will get vaccinated and will follow covid protocols to their viewers. I think that is only fair. tbh

* I am still waiting for Foxnews to explain why they have a strict covid policy at their office. But their on air personalities are LIKE playing down covid or spreading false information about covid.

Salon News: The network has for months railed against the mere idea of restrictive COVID-19 prevention measures

The Newsmax vaccine mandate announcement comes after months of COVID opposition from many of the network's hosts.

For months now, the network has also circulated right-wing conspiracy theories that have raissd questions vaccine safety and efficacy.

Many of Newsmax's viewers are anti-vaxxers who have condemned mask mandates and touted unproven drugs like hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin. Based on the type of rhetoric the network has featured over the last several months, is highly unlikely that the right-wing network's audience will be receptive to the idea of enforcing Biden's vaccine mandate

US Navy Shipyard Turns the Tide on Biden, Says ?No? To Vaccine Mandate

Newport News Shipbuilding no longer requiring vaccinations, workers who left due to previous requirement can request return

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) ? Newport News Shipbuilding is now no longer requiring vaccinations for employees, and former employees who chose to quit or retire due to the mandate have the option to request a return to work, officials say.

The shipyard had previously said all of its roughly 25,000 workers would need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a ?condition of continued employment? due to the vaccine mandate for federal workers and contractors, but Newport News Shipbuilding President Jennifer Boykin said in an update on Thursday that Huntington Ingalls clarified their Navy contracts ?don?t include a vaccine mandate at this time.?

Frontline workers are choosing to lose their jobs rather than get the vaccine. Why?
That?s because Pitts refuses to get vaccinated. ?I?m only 21, I want to have a family in the next three years, and we don?t know the long-term side effects,? she tells me when I ask her why. Not only has Pitts become a pariah in her own family?she and her six-year-old sister are the only ones without the vaccine?but, with a wave of mandates being issued by federal and state officials, she faces termination if she doesn?t get her first shot by the end of this month.

Pitts is not alone. While vaccine mandates sweep the country, frontline workers who are refusing the shot are being recast as villains. And there are a lot of villains. According to the Covid States Project, 23% of healthcare workers are unvaccinated. About 40% of Ohio?s nursing home workers remain unvaccinated. In New York City, 9,000 municipal workers have been placed on unpaid leave, plus 12,000 more who have yet to get the vaccine, but are allowed to keep working while the city evaluates their exemption requests.

The same thing that won them praise last year?their willingness to keep working, enveloped by tons of other people?is now a liability for firefighters, healthcare workers and teachers whose unwillingness to play by the rules is seen as selfish and a public-health hazard.

Your point being?

It is a fact unvaccinated healthcare workers are a public-health hazard.

Also fact: The biggest cop killer in 2020 - COVID. Five times as many police officers died from COVID as from gunfire since the start of the pandemic.
