Clippers gone fishing. They were eliminated by the Jazz. (Game 7 of the first round)

The curse is real. They always get injured in the playoffs.

Wonder what they will look like next year. I would keep CP3 and DJ.

Go Houston!!

Freaking losers....I was telling my dad that they'd probably choke even after the game 6 win.  Wonder if they'll break up the line-up next year.

Word.

Although I don't know how much The Logo with help the Clips if they don't retain and get more talent.

Rumors are LeBron is thinking about building a super-team in LA... and not with the Lakers.

Email I received from the Clippers.

"June 15, 2017

Dear Clipper Nation,

Since acquiring the L.A. Clippers in 2014, I have been adamant that our players, coaches and staff receive the support they need to do their best work on and off the court. I've also committed to giving our fans and their families the NBA's best game experience.

To date, we have greatly invested in our players, our coaching and support staff, our fan experience and our community.

Today, we are expanding that investment by entering into an agreement to explore an opportunity to build a new arena for the Clippers in the City of Inglewood. I have said from day one that we need to plan for the future. This agreement helps us do that by expanding our options.

The prospect of a new state-of-the-art NBA arena would allow us greater latitude to influence our game schedule, particularly as it relates to weekend games that are so important to our fans. We also want to offer our fans premium experiences in terms of technology, club spaces and other amenities; that's easier to realize in a new arena.

This new arena would be 100 percent privately funded. No public dollars would be used for this project.

STAPLES Center has proudly been the L.A. Clippers' home court since 1999. It will remain so until at least June 2024, when our lease expires. AEG, which operates STAPLES Center, remains our valued partner.

During the upcoming planning process, the Clippers and the City of Inglewood will work diligently together to evaluate this project in great detail. Regardless of where the Clippers take the court after 2024, I remain committed to helping the great city of Los Angeles and its citizens thrive. We look forward to sharing our progress as we continue along our journey to deliver championship results for our fans and the entire Los Angeles region.

Go Clips!

Steve"

Balmer could easily break lease with Staples and just pay the fees.

They really need to get out from under the Lakers shadow and playing in a different facility will help that. They don't need to cover the Laker banners and can put up a statue of Jerry West in Inglewood... or Lebron James.

Where would they go and get the same type of value?

They've already started the process of building a stadium in Inglewood but their Staples lease doesn't end until 2024.

I would start the build now, it should take about 2-3 years (based on how long the Rams are taking) and then in 2020, break the lease 4 years early.

Or... since Balmer has infinite money, break lease now and play at the Honda Center and then re-consider building that Inglewood stadium and think about staying in Orange County.

I will posit that it's probably about the same time for LA people to get to the Honda Center as it is to get to Staples or Inglewood (usually against traffic during the week).

the team value would go down.. pretty significantly.

Man, someone fire Doc. Wouldn't this team be better off letting CP3 walk for nothing, than taking on below average players on long contracts? That pick will be late in the first round - i.e. not very valuable. Wow. The Clips are the Clips.

Blake is gone. Do the Celtics now pursue PG13 when they can try to get Blake and Gordon from Utah?

No more CP3

He wants a chance to win in Houston. But Houston is sending over players and pick for him. (Signing cp3 would have been better for the Clips)

it's kind of see how it goes.  CP on the hook for one year and can just go somewhere else.  I think he realizes the CLIPS are going nowhere.

I don't see them beating golden state unless another superstar goes to Houston.

Morey wants to add one more.  possibly George for a one year rental.  He also doesn't care about rentals either as he wants to clear all his cap space for the big 2018 FAs.

What is Morey going to trade for George?

I heard a rumor that the Celtics had the best package for George. (combination of draft pick and young talent)

But do they want to make the trade for 1 year rental?
