Finally, here is a race that PeterUK could win!

Tour de Donut, July 12, 2008:

You may have heard about the Tour de France, or maybe even the Tour of California, or possibly even the Tour of Utah...

It's simple. Race 21 miles and see who is the king donut! In circuit style, ride 7 miles, then eat as many donuts as you would like. No limit. Then, ride 7 more miles, eat more donuts, then ride the last 7 mile lap. Glory and adulation are waiting for you at the Finish Line. Proceeds benefit the Utah Amber Alert ID project.

Time Bonuses

Did I forget to tell you? For every donut you eat, subtract three minutes from your time! Ten donuts? 30 minutes right off the top. Finally your appetite and your pot belly are your greatest assets!

Sign me up Prof! I'll start training (not that I need any) first thing in the morning!

This could be the first race I've ever finished with a Minus time

ps. do they provide Coffee to swill them down with?

You betcha, Troop! All you can eat...

The Seventh Circle Cycling Club is planning a Sunday morning ride out to Sunset Beach (50 miles roundtrip).

If you're interested, pm the club "leader," PeterUk.

No, Nude. This is a serious cycling club. You must be confusing the 7th Circle Club with the AGC. However, as with all the elite clubs,

we stop for tea/coffee to recharge. There has not been any donut consumption to my knowledge, but I have seen muffins and oatmeal

cookies scarfed down with abandon.

Must...fix...bike!

I would love to ride with you guys. I'll get to it, I swear. I even cleared out some space in the garage last weekend.

That, or I'll say "the hell with it" and go buy a new bike at Costco. :-)

Here's the Details of Sunday's Ride:

START: San Marco Park, Irvine. Located on Harvard between Main and Alton.

DATE & TIME: Sunday April 13th, 2008 @ 9:00am

ROUTE:

From the Park head towards the Backbay on the San Diego River Trail towards Newport Beach.

Ride half way around the Backbay to PCH

Turn right and head Nth on PCH through Newport Beach to Huntington Beach where there is a rest stop at Starbucks on Main St.

Back on the PCH North to Sunset Beach Starbucks on Peter's Landing where we make a U-Turn and ride back to San Marco Park.

Everyone is welcome, nobody will be dropped!

Total Distance: ~50 miles

I'm so tempted! And I might even fit on it!

You know, I actually know an adult collector who bought a child's MLP bike for her collection. It just sits there with the rest of the MLP stuff. Crazy, I tell you!
