Asians now are the largest group in Irvine

That's why people like him.

I guess political correctness has a time and place...like at a formal dinner or business meeting, but here in the hallowed halls of TI it will find no shelter.

I'm going to start a new C-Pop band (to compete with all those K-Pop bands) called The FCB's and The FOB's - kind of like The Mamas and The Papas. Then I'm going to trademark the name and sue everybody who uses FCB and/or FOB in a derogatory fashion. Figure I can retire early suing all you rich Irvineters! I'll admit I'm jealous because I'm a poor Irvinter but at least I'll keep the $$$ in the TI family. Need some musical volunteers and maybe come up with a few more choice band names. How does TI & The Feng shui's sound? Will write a hip-hop song titled "Let's Do The 114 in the Cemetery."

PS There's a Asian band called "The Slants" who are doing the same, so I can't take credit for the idea.

I'm thinking Halloween might be a bummer. Certain Asians don't decorate/celebrate/give out candy.

So I asked my Asian coworker, how much candy are they buying? (Buying candy from Costco or Target)
Response: nothing, lights go off

I'm telling you folks: American tradition like Halloween is fading away in Irvine

We should hire her to manage these types in Irvine and in So Cal for that matter.

I was at a performance venue once and a perfectly healthy mainland China mom and her kid sat down in the reserved handicapped seats.  People around them, including me, politely told them the seats are reserved for the handicapped.  She ignored us.  Her kid pleaded with her "mom, these seats are for handicapped people, we have to move."  The mom yells at her kid: "just ignore them, we can sit wherever we want!"

PRC nationals are doing a great job of training their next generation.

As I have learned and as the auntie in the clip indicates, explaining things nicely to a mainland Chinese is useless. If you want them to follow the rules, you have to use force and threats of prosecution. These Communists are omnipotent in their own country so they could care less what you think.

I was there during the cultural revolution and I witnessed the evil side of humanity. The Party hunted down all the traitors consisting of intellectuals, land barons,  those who possessed western made goods, teachers, those who read western books, religious people in any religion including Buddhism, people who played or owned a western musical instrument, people who watched Casa Blanca 30 years prior, women who once wore stockings, people who once dined in a restaurants operated by a foreigner, people who had books, arts and calligraphy, people who owned a steak knife, women who used a lipstick or perfume, people who drove a Buick, people who slandered the Party or Mao, people who wiped their butt with a newspaper who forgot to check Mao's picture was printed on the backside of the newspaper, people who pounded a nail on the wall to hang something and the nail exited through the neighbor's wall and pierced a hole on the Mao poster, people who got married and did not bow to a Mao portrait or forgot to say eternal life blessings to Mao during their ceremony, people who sneezed and their mucus ended on Mao's poster, sinners who did not display Mao's poster dead center high above their living room or above their bed, students who once studied abroad or in a school operated by a foreigner, students who possessed a science textbook, people who spoke a foreign language other than Russian, people who had respect and good manner, and etc.

Teenagers took, stole and smuggled all family possession of value, knowledge, deity, culture and added them to the burned pile out on the street that kept burning for months. These were books, musical instruments, family portraits, ancestor's photos, wedding photos, western clothings, heels, paintings, western style furniture, text books, manuscripts, bibles, Buddhist literatures, potteries and just about anything that is not edible.

The violations were endless and how the hell did the Party find out when the "traitor" themselves did not disclose them?

The snitch was rewarded and rose up in the rank known as the red guard. Who were these snitch? In every village there was an outpost kind of like a HOA in every neighborhood that governed orders where a committee conducted interrogation, cross checking of truth and lies and background check.

Every citizen was required to write an autobiography of themselve and other family members and friends. The content was then evaluated by the village judge for violation committed and crosse referenced with others for accuracies. Discrepancies led to court summons and convictions. Each violation could then be pardoned if he or she write about the violation committed by others such as teachers, friends, families or neighbors. There were literally millions of these "judge" across the countrysides and cities. Those who snitched the most also were recruited and promoted to sit on the bench. This is where the lowest form of corruption took place where pardons were traded for money.

No one trusted each other because of this. Husband did not trust wife, siblings betraying each other, parents snitched by their children, neighbors turned on each others, and friends could not be trusted. Animosities among spousal relationships resorted to snitching to getting even.

The Party was out to destroyed the intellects and people with wisdom. Those who displayed good manners were considered people of intellect and wisdom. Those with good mannerism caught a lot of attention and were snitched, paraded out on to the streets then either ended up at a firing squad or labor camp.

Mao's tool was the masses the peasants. Their naive minds were easier to mould and they can't decider righteousness from evil. People lived secretively and trusted no one. Those with knowledge hid their intellect and never voiced their opinion. Those who sympathized the dissidents by way of help such as offering a glass of water or bandage their wounds would be sentenced as conspirator. This meant death or labor camp for decades. This is the reason for so few good Samaritans in China when in the past this only led to trouble.

Mao thought he was a clever man believing that a socialist society would produced patriotism, teamwork, and prosperity. At first everyone worked hard at the farm and the country was on its way to recovery after a long drawn out civil war that forced the opposing party fleeing to Taiwan. The problem came when the lazy farmers got the same sacks of rice as those who worked extra hard on the farm. Eventually everyone got lazier.

Soon the country was facing a pest epidemic on agriculture. Mao thought of a clever idea. He had murdered all chemists decades prior and there was no one to create pesticide. Farmers who turned in locusts, grasshoppers, rats, cockroaches and other crop destroying pests got extra food vouchers. Instead of farming searching for pests was easier and instantaneous for food vouchers. As the pests were scarsed people started to breed them in their own homes to create a steady supply. Mao was stupid as human nature gravitated to shortcut and laziness.

Since 1949 the Party wiped out thousand years of culture, wisdom, knowledge, progress, arts, literature, intellect, loyalty, trust, and moral. The cultural revolution of 1966 destroyed all physical remnants once a sophisticated civilization.

During the foreigner occupations of China in the 1800s there were gifts of arts, potteries, China's and gem statues given to the British to promote friendship and trade partnership. China is demanding the return of these artifacts currently in British museums since China destroyed all off her own.

A Chinese architect who was educated at U Penn in the 1920's returned to China in the 1930's became the nation's architect for the socialist style of architecture. He voiced vehemently for saving the old temples, monasteries, and other relics but Mao and his regime destroyed them all. This architect begged him to spare the Forbidden City and was willing to accept fate of labor camp for his insistence.

Can we expect the boys and girls of the red guards to teach their offsprings to be honest, have good manner, respect, good moral and etc when they betrayed their families and caused the death of their parents. The preaching of Mao's red book stated that Mao is the head of their household and parents were not.

It will take many generations to undo the damages. Hopefully with an American education their grandchildren and great grandchildren will not resorts to the bad morals and cheating being witnessed at home.

I was being nice when I said the next 626, this might be the next garden grove.

That is why the well to do current generation purchase and buy up properties across the globes, in particular the U.S and sent and sending their kids here for a better education and ridding of the corruptions and lies along with immerse themselves with Western cultures and influences to help make them a better individual and person as a whole. IHS, this is really deep and thank you for shedding lights on this issues. Like all things it will take time to fix. In the meantime we are all should be responsible for our well being and our surrounding. Places that we eat, parks, have fun  with our kids, in general public spaces, we all must me a good simaritan and protect and defend it. If something deemed as bad behaviors or unacceptable, chances are other view it as the same way and we MUST be cop citizen and extinguish it immediately. I am certainly would not want IRVINE to be one of the other statistic city that over run by their lack of common courtesy or behaviors.

I was on a recent fishing trip. Met a wonderful retire Caucasian gentlemen. We ask each other what we do and where we live. Come to find out that he used to live in Irvine for over 22 years Woodbridge. In 2003 he sold his home and moved to  55+ community Talegra. Something that important to me of what he said is this, Irvine for him WAS and IS a great place for him to raised his 3 kids. Even though he sold his home back in 2003 he would occasionally comes back with his wife for brunch and lunch in Irvine and everything is still well taken care of, in many cases things sometimes are even better now than it was. My thought was, here I am talking to a man that lived through it all, and he has been in Irvine since the early 70 and raised his family here all those time and still believe in Irvine and their education system.

This is how I would  want Irvine to be when I am in my 70 and to have the same story to tell.

I understand a lot of the frustration.  I am fairly easy going, and I am not bothered by much. I rarely use the amenities in my neighborhood, but last night I decided to go out to the pool area in Cypress Village.  I was mortified.  Plates of half eaten food and bones littered all around the jacuzzi.  Empty cans and bottles everywhere.  We live in a nice place, throwing away your trash just seems like common  sense.  I could overlook the kids screaming and running around and trashing the landscaping, but the food left everywhere for the rats and insects was too much.  Now I remembered why I don't use the amenities that we all pay for.

Chinese nationals have no shame, no moral compass and conscience. Their country taught them that. They also admired the leaders that money is the only way to earn respect. This is why they have this stuck up attitude when I am spending money the people servicing me deserved to be condescended to and be humiliated just like their superior did to them.

At South Coast Plaza the retailers hate the mainlanders but they still have to be nice to them in fear of losing their job if they treat them with disrespect. The HOA is another one where they went out of the way to trash it so the Mexican crew have to clean their mess. Mainlanders were mistreated and humiliated when they had no money. These coolies now have earning power being a factory operators they are now mistreating others. They truly were brained washed by their government Money=respect.

Why do the Mainlanders buy properties here and sending their kid or kids living abroad when they have so little interest in learning America's value.

One thing that the mainlanders still value is passing on the family torch. They send their offsprings here because of the clean environment. China's agricultural is poisoned by chemicals. The water is polluted. Poultry and cattle are on hormones and antibiotic to speed up maturity. Baby formula is boosted with additives to increase weight and volume. Their drinking water and aquifer are toxic. Their contaminated water raised fish and shell fish too toxic to consume. Their rain is acidic. Their air is toxic. Their education is full of corruption where good grades and diploma are for sale. Their city don't work. Setbacks are dangerously threatening to life safety. Occupancy permits are purchased. Traffic and road safety standard is risky.

When the government controls so much and compromises everything to do with life. One can't breathe, eat, live, drink, learn and play then what is left for the princling generation?

Parents send them here so they can live. Parents buy home here to shelter their money. Most rich mainlanders engage in corruption and money laundering. The money left in banks will be confiscated by the government if found guilty of corruption where there isn't a fair trial. Everyone knows eventually the musical chair will eventually stop on his beat. Rather than jeopardizing the entire family facing arrest and freezing of all assets. Family and money are sent abroad.

The rich men stay in China to management businesses and have numerous second or even third families with mistresses while his first family is stuck in Cypress Village.

American or British education is regarded highly in China. Top positions are only offered to graduates from big name schools in mainly high government positions which is a guarantee way to staying rich.

So I am partially right about Chinese mainlander. They don't have any interest in learning America's value. They do however want to protect their wealth and passing on family torch. In some of your earlier post, you have mentioned that you have gone out of your way to design homes with features that ward off Mainlander from buying. Perhaps this may be one way of doing it, what other means can be employ and deliver so that Mainlander stay out or would likely not seen as a likely place for them to bet on? Vancouver doing it, and their property prices suffer. I would think that Irvine would NOT be in the same situation if we were to apply the same taxes, simply because organic buyers will taken over. Houses would no longer be purchased with cash, but more of a traditional methods. This is certainly good for organic buyers and reintroduce diversity back to Irvine and Orange County as a whole.

Given how polluted China is, little is known about health defects in China with new born and their population. All I know is China is one of the most populate country in the world. Wouldn't harsh environment shorten lifespan and lowered their population numbers?

This is why they are coming to America to give birth to anchor babies. If they could not conceived before their visit the men deposit a big load of specimen for girlfriend or wife to conceive by invitro here in Irvine. Yes there will be many not having the means to travel abroad but they are impacting Hong Kong with similar tactics.

Back to the topic of diversities. It is irreversible as the white flight has started. Mainlanders are the least desirable of the Asian population. My studies of their migration across North America and New Zealand that the natives rather move than to be their eternal neighbors.

Creating at least one out three plans with the stairs aligning with the front door is one such strategy the white folks would not buy that either afraid of hardship in resale.
