Not quite...I'm not on a motor court.

    New High School Boundaries

As someone who has taught high level courses at a UC school, I am proud to report that kids from Irvine are just as dumb as kids from Victorville...I don't care what SAT scores say, I have students from Irvine in upper division courses that cannot construct basic sentences and think it is...

    Shared driveway rules

I was shown the documents when I bought, which is why I'm fairly certain I was right...just didn't want to have to go searching through again to find a relevant paragraph.  Was hoping someone else more well versed in the CC&Rs would point me to the right page...or there was someone else who...

    Shared driveway rules

Thanks everyone...I've talked to the neighbors a while ago and tried to be nice about it, but they keep doing it so I'll step it up a notch for sure.  Will be taking pictures and contacting the HOA .  In the meantime, I will get creative with post-it notes

    Shared driveway rules

Question is am I in my rights to do that. I'm not paying for that ish if I'm not. Was hoping someone else had read through all the documents already.

    Shared driveway rules

Is there anyone in a newer IP community SFR on a shared driveway?  I was wondering if there is any specific rules on parking on the length of the drive. When we bought, we were assured that the neighbors closest to the street would not be able to park on the shared portion. Others on shared...

    First sale at Stonegate?

I think Commuter and I think a lot alike...SG has enough to offer that having a few apartment complexes mixed into the fold isn't going detract people from buying there nor will it hurt the resale value in the future....Woodbridge and Turtle Rock do just fine 30 years later and there are...

    First sale at Stonegate?

Since I ignited this wild fire thread, maybe it's time I weighed in. We moved into SG about the same time as the folks in the kingsbury house did...there is no way I'd buy a maricopa house for 985...but I also wouldn't buy anything in that price range in PP either. Also, density is a highly...

    First sale at Stonegate?

Will be curious to see what the final sale price on 35 Kingsbury will be....listed at $985k, but doesn't compare to the Medford house in terms of upgrades, landscaping, and lot size... http://www.redfin.com/CA/Irvine/35-Kingsbury-92620/home/40101568

    Toxic Marine Base in Irvine

That's a completely unbiased report if I've ever seen one.... Just out of curiousity...any toxicologists on these boards? Perhaps someone who's gone to school to graduate school to study mode of actions for various chemical and environmental carcinogens?  Maybe statisticians or modellers who...

Require Trash Haulers to use 133/241 Toll Roads

Maybe I'm in a small minority...perhaps even just a party of one...but I really don't care at all about the trucks going to the landfill, and I travel back and forth on Sand Canyon and Jeffrey about 4 times a day.  I've never really seen any truck drop trash....I'd rather see waste management...

What are they building north of Jeffrey / Portola?

I believe that is part of OH...or at least I remember seeing a map a year or so ago indicating as much...

Older Part of Northwood worth it?

I like parts of old northwood...the problem with no HOA is that you'll sometimes get neighbors who don't maintain their homes properly. I prefer woodbridge, Deerfield, and UP of the older communities because the association requires everyone to maintain their homes. And hoa in these communities...

    Tustin Legacy New Homes

That sucks, I was really hoping they'd keep one of them up and turn it into a museum or something.  As an almost 30yr resident of Irvine, I can't think of a more iconic building than the hangars. Hopefully the GP will do a good job with their museum in the future that will pay homage to the...

    Carpet Recommendations

I loves the carpet that they had in a few of the GP models. Had some ridiculous padding underneath, felt like walking on a pillow.

    Irvine's 5th High School

Way more than half of the Great Park neighborhoods will be zoned to IUSD....probably closer to 75% according to the maps earlier in this thread. Include PS/LR and CV...I could see Woodbury and SG staying in their current zoned districts. Isn't NHS supposed to undergo expansion as well?

    Stonegate Vs. Pavilion Park

I live in SG and I really liked PP when I visited the models.  I like that different developers are building near each other so that there is variety on neighboring streets.  Feels less cookie cutter even though it is... That said, SG has the elementary school already, a large sports park, and...

Santa Maria Condo > How much would this fireplace setup cost to make?

Figured at 100'' that it had to be electric, and sure enough if you scroll down on the redfin listing, it specifies the type of fireplace and it is indeed electric.  about $2k for the insert, another 2k for the TV, maybe another grand to 1500 for someone to frame the cabinet, run all the cabling...

    Rat problem in stonegate area

Had a couple when we first moved in, though they probably were mice not rats...new construction, lots of doing landscaping around it was bound to happen...haven't had any problems since that first month.  just be careful when you open doors to the outside.. Also, if you're not landscaped yet...
