Your IHB Persona In One Sentence - A Quick Index for Newbies

I just thought I start a thread to briefly describe your on-line (or in- person) persona with a few lines. This is in no way to stereotype, pre-judge or put you in a BOX, I want to simply give each other and newbies a quick reference or context in the daily interactions here? this is me, what?s yours?

roundcorners:

I?m a diet coke, starbucks drinking; Taiwanese-American, evangelical Christian family guy, who loves to foster genuine community, meet and bring his Irvine neighbors to Church because I ultimately care for your eternal souls!

I am an icicle gun gangster troll. IHO is a Car Garage freak that I robbed years ago. Graph is cranky. NoVas is a farmer who can't find peace in the city.

He once buried a time capsule full of things that haven't happened yet.

He has been pronounced dead 7 times...make that 8.

His bear hugs are actually hugs he gives to bears.

He can't be bought, but his beard clippings have been know to show up on auction.

He has never lost a sock.

If he disagrees with you, it is because you are wrong.

My interests include: antiques, cooking & baking, raising my boys into good men, studying real estate market trends, learning more about delta hedging, and other normal housewife duties. I also work in accounting and absolutely love it. I?m here as much for the people as I am for the information.

irvine_home_owner's nickname is IHO

He'll get his 3-car garage,

Beating FCBs to an o-REO.

I am IHB's proverbial redheaded stepchild, only tolerated because I am married to BK. I am also a NIMBY about pedophiles and part owner of a large avocado tree.

Not true (not even close), not true (not even close)

Yeah, about that.

.....yes well heres the thing, I called the Santa Ana police last summer and mentioned the volume of sex offenders living at the perv motel, they began moving them out. Because by law there are only allowed to be 4 living in the same area.. So they moved 5 out and now there are 3.

I understand and respect your point of view but I still dont want them near anyones kids. Rural, urban or whatever.

On this issue, I'm certian we agree. I don't want those SOB's near my dog, my wife, my mother, or anybody else. But there is a functional problem that they have to be somewhere.............

They should all live here.

The ugliest and ostentatious neighborhood designed just for them.

Unfortunately law can not discriminate where they live but cost can. High cost of housing in Irvine for example discouraged this group.

I bring this up because there were two known child molesters who lived in the area I did growing up. My nearest neighbor was 1/4 mile away, but both these turds were 1/3 mile away (different directions).

I never had a problem, but when your nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile away, you become acutely aware nobody is there to help or hear you scream if you get into trouble. Hence my empathy for those who live next to pedophiles.

Just don't get a false sense of security. Most of the abuse cases are perpetrated by people that are known to the victim - especially members of their family.

I am recent out of the closet IHB lurker, recovering priced-out-forever-a-holic, vintage OC lover, unconventional mother of two, curious adventurer, resourceful home shopper, ding dong that can't seem to edit their posts until just after I hit submit, good humored poster.

I'm not really sure why I am here anymore. I already know where I want to live, when I want to buy, and how much I will pay. But I can't stop until my post count is 888.
