Worst set of house pictures, ever?

At least he didn't realtardese the description and add "open floorplan" or "bright and airy, brings the outdoors, indoor!".

Awgee, that's a lovely home with severely weathered CDX plywood as the exterior wall with the mailbox screwed right into the front wall near what's suppose to be the front door / entrance.

what is so exciting about "NOTE HIGH-BALANCE LOAN ON PROPERTY NOW!!"?? Is there a positive to this statement that i'm not understanding?

Actually, that is one of the nicer looking homes in that neighborhood. You should see some of the other ones in the area. So close to beautiful Hawaiian Gardens and within walking distance to Artesia High School!

I think I'll make an offer today! Better hurry before someone else snaps it up.

I used to live in Chino Hills. It's as close to Irvine as you can get in the 909. Provided you can handle the commute, which is sheer hell. It's easier to get to OC from Riverside.

The best inventory in 50 years from what I've heard. By the looks of this house I believe it! While you're at it, pass me another glass of that wonderful Kool Aid the NAR is passing out.

Seriously, that neighborhood is gang-ridden and downright scary. I grew up near that house in Lakewood and I can't believe anyone would think that someone would fork over $330K for ANY of the homes in that neighborhood--let alone one that is half-way torn down. They'd be lucky to get $100K for that POS

I graduated from Artesia High School in Lakewood, and used to live right behind the school. Lakewood was one of the early "master planned" cities, but most of its homes are kinda old. I recall back in 1980s, areas of west Lakewood, near the MD aircraft plant was well to do. But things have changed since.

Hawaiian Gardens has actually cleaned up a bit since 1980s. I like to shop at the Zion market there.

If you're actually looking for a home in that area, GO SOUTH and buy in Rossmoor. It's like between Los Alamitos and Leisure World, but much better looking homes and neighborhood. If you can afford a SFR in Irvine, you can afford a SFR in Rossmoor. Basically, anything >800k is further away from the freeway, and anything <800k is closer to the freeway.

momopi,

No disrespect intended in my previous post towards Artesia HS. Some of my favorite basketball players went to school there (Go Bruins!)

<p>I thought I recognized that fence! The original house from this thread has a new listing, and is now at a 25% loss</p>

That is one fugly house. I cracked up when I read some of the comments by the Realtard<em>..." COME HOME TO MEDINA DRIVE, AND START LIVING THE ORANGE COUNTY LIFE STYLE TODAY. "</em> All I could think was, THERE? IN THAT? LOLOLOL !

Does one of the RHOC live there? When RHOC talks about living behind the gates, are they refering to that white picket fence?

The color of <a href="http://redfin.com/stingray/do/printable-listing?listing-id=1391622">this house</a> makes my eyes hurt:

<img width="300" height="225" alt="" src="http://i-0.rfimg.us/photo/46/bigphoto/507/S517507_0.jpg" />

The yard is also a train wreck:

<p>OMG! I like that color, but not on a house. For heaven's sake...</p>

<p>And they could have at least tried to tidy up the backyard. Coil up the hose, deal with bags of crap...wait, you can't tidy up what I think is the frame for a patio cover. Oops.</p>

<p>They are asking $685,000 for this house!!!</p>

I suspect it was a fire that started in the fireplace. I've seen some pretty nasty pics crop up for some older homes on the MLS. I think it's part of the agent's disclosure to any potential buyers. Plus, it's a bit of a service. If you hadn't seen the pic above and came to look at the house, would you be at all interested after seeing the fire damage? Probably not. So seeing the property would have been a waste of many people's time.

Awful tho it is, with some sweat, you could actually do something with this house. Of course, I have no idea what kind of neighborhood this is in.

Neighbors like these are such a disgrace. I hate to have them because I can't fix their homes to bring up the comp of my house. No matter how much I put into making my house nice it will only be slightly higher than these craps. I learned my lesson with my first home in these neighborhoods. Stay away even if it is cheap to buy. It is not worth your mental anguish and disrupt your quality of life.
