In the last episode, at which Irvine park did Slade ask Gretchen's father for his blessing to propose?  :) Let's see if anyone can get this.

Deerfield

A+! Good job.

Slade and Gretchen's father often ride bikes together. They were filmed getting ready for a bike ride at Deerfield Park, where Slade asked for Gretchen's hand in marriage.

Who watched this week's Real Housewives of OC where Eddie proposed to Tamara?

She had that look on her face of: "Me and my ring... together forever!"

I watched it! It was so funny, listening to Tamra go on and on about whether or not Eddie would propose in Bora Bora.

I think I read somewhere that the producers initially wanted Slade to propose to Gretchen on the show, but she doesn't want to get married, so they moved on to Eddie and Tamra. I wonder if they bought the ring...

Slade gives me the creeps.

He comes off as a hanger-on. I haven't watched all previous seasons of the show but I hear he was involved with two other women from the show and engaged to one of them? He doesn't seem to have a life of his own. Hasn't made his own path. I like what Gretchen said in the last episode: to stop assisting her, she doesn't want him to (he uses that as an excuse of why he has no time to work on his own life) and that if she left him tomorrow, he'd have nothing to his name because he has no ownership in her company. Also, I think it's very smart of her to not pay off his child support debt for him even though she says she could in one fell swoop. He could be a very nice man, don't know him personally. Just think his priorities are screwed up. Why is he spending money on a diamond ring when he's got a son with brain cancer who needs his dad to be fully present.

I have a feeling Gretchen will break up with Slade. She wants babies but 35 is staring her in the face. He can't get his act together soon enough to beat that biological clock. She loves him but she has better options. Next stop: Splitsville.

He seems to think like a teenager.  Live for today instead of thinking about tomorrow or your obligations.  Unless he comes into a lot of money or gets his crap together (drop the comedian 'career') and puts his financial/life house in order, she will tire of it and move on.  Then you can watch him and Brooks fight over who gets to have Vicki.

^^ Not that I watch the show other than casually observe it when the wife is watching...yea....that's my story and I am sticking to it......

Funny!!

There was a scene where Tamara was "confessing" to Gretchen that Slade and Vicky slept together. For a second, I wasn't so sure she was joking, but she was. With him - you never know.

I don't think Vicki realizes what a vulnerable target she is to a con-artist. A single woman with sacks of money desperately seeking a man to give her attention / fill her "love tank". Warning!

Brooks's flowery speech makes me nauseous. Another deadbeat dad from the swamps of Mississippi latching on to a rich OC Housewife. He's already got a free new set of chompers out of it valued around $15k according to the last episode. She's wining and dining him. Of course he's going to give her a daily love card and whisper sweet nothings (literally - nothings!) Wake up, Vicki.
