The home were talking about is in Northpark not Shady Canyon or Crystal Cove, all they have here are tract homes.
If you know of a similar, prestigious “faux” French Chateau in Irvine at $1.125M then by all means don’t keep it on the low, geek it.

Northpark is full of faux riche homes. As you said, all they have here are tract homes. A faux facade doesn't create prestige. It reminds me of the rolexes available in Santee Alley.
Granted, it's a very Irvine concept. The blog posted on it often here.
I wonder if the builder will adopt the concept going forward, maybe naming the Elevation options: Commoner, Prestige, & Envy. Prestige being any of the faux somewhere else facades while the Envy package is large scarlet E (in the font of your choice) in a lettering proportional to the amount of wealth you want to project on the front of the house. They could even flex price the option so that the fee is a one time charge of 5% of the amount which one wants to pretend to have. That way everybody knows how much they spent and should be envious.
Northpark is nice. Prestigious, not so.
