What do you use your garage for?

Garage in San Fernando valley? Ten's playroom?

It would need mirrors on the ceiling too.

(eww... did I really just go there?)

And 2 deep. And the ceiling needs to be about 5' higher.</blockquote>

Well, this is a low-rent example of what you really want. But not bad for a house priced at only $500k (in college park, CM), eh?

Does anyone else find it interesting that some posts get loads of replies that you wouldn't think would garner even a click? Seriously, this is now 204 posts on the topic of what you actually use your garage for....

I'm over the garage. I want a driveway.

[quote author="biscuitninja" date=1235527045]^^^ that would be fun! Although some cart tracks just aren't that technical. This one looks awsome!

Aye... especially with a garage full of these:

Hey I found this inside the red barn garage!

I thought of this thread yesterday when attending open houses in W Irvine and driving down this street in the Independence tract.

I had to stop and take a picture. I *so* wouldn't want to be this person's neighbor. FIVE covered cars in the driveway. How many do you suppose they have in the garage? I'll bet none.

<img src="http://www.uploadandgo.com/images/IMG_8429.JPG" alt="" />

I don't even want to know where they keep this one:

The covers might be a good thing. Every one of those cars might be at least 40 years old. I see a Volks van, a 240z, a Mustang, a Corvair (?), and a, uh, a dune buggy? The one in the middle has me stumped. I bet the garage is full of Ferraris and Porches. ;)

I think you would very much like these people if you met them, SoCal...

The elderly man and his wife (with the covered cars) has two more in the garage, and one bay full of holiday supplies. Think "<a href="http://www.thegrantorino.com/">Gran Torino</a>" w/out all the racial epithets.

The people with the RV get to nearly every USC game and are avid tailgaters... the folks a couple doors down fly a Notre Dame flag in the fall and it's always fun to hear about their one-upsmanship.

Too small for a Corvair, I'm thinking Fiat X19 or Porsche 914:

As for the mystery car... That rear quarter panel reminds me of an old Checker Cab, so that's my guess.

I agree with you, that is a Checker Cab, but the other one looks a lot like a Corvair. If we could get a better angle on the driveway to see if there is an oil leak, then we would know for sure if it is. I might just go check for the fun of this thread alone.

The folks with the motorhome likely can't park in in thier neighborhood for more than 24 hours. It probablly lives at El Toro RV Storage. It seems like Deuce knows these folks, so if he could figure out where they keep it, how much it costs per month, and if they have any spaces, I'm all ears!

Why are there no curbs in the Independence tract? Is it so you can park on the lawn more easily?

Thanks, Deuce. I apologize if my comments have offended you since it sounds like you may be friends with those homeowners. They do sound like great people and I'm sure I would like them too. I just wouldn't want to look at that parking lot every day, that's all. Seven cars? Wow. (Funny about the man's holiday supplies -- it looks like there might still be a couple wreaths left on the double doors.)

No_Vas: Why can't the owners leave the motor home there if they want to? Isn't Independence free of an HOA so no rules or regs apply? Or you mean it has something to do with a city code? Thanks
