Not at all. It shows that he?s out of touch or simply doesn?t know the rules.
For the people that don?t know, don?t really care that much, simply forgot, or was never taught. (public education is a toss up, not passing any judgment in any way. I know it?s boring stuff.) A US president can only serve two terms according to the 22nd amendment.

conservative or independent or democrat -- don't you guys find this is f' __ d up that we spend gazillion (800bn or so) on defense and still have to steal money from national park budget to stage this orange idiot's tank parade ?

I don't necessarily need to see tanks, but I would like to see something different than the usual standardized July 4 parade.
Keep in mind that Trump got the idea for tanks and fighter planes soaring overhead when he saw that spectacle at the Bastille Day parade last year with Pres. Macron. You know, open-border, socialist, Muslim-friendly Macron.

I'm a libertarian, so yeah, I would rather not spend money on stuff like this, but in the scheme of things this is a really small issue.  It's not nearly enough to sway my support of GEOTUS.  Any other President, Republican or Democrat, would make even worse spending decisions on stuff I don't support.  (Hello, $1 trillion Iraq War.  Hello, $1 trillion failed stimulus.)

So since you love government spending, just think of Trump's parade as a stimulus plan that will help create shovel ready jobs in DC.  Problem solved!

I would rather have Sherman tanks parading in Washington than rolling into Syria, Iran, or Venezuela.

Ah hah. Kind of weak. Iran has been attacking friendly nation oil tankers and other things. (Last time I checked. Oil is a national security issue.) In addition, Iran has shot down a US drone for no reason. That costs American tax payers $100 million plus. Send them an invoice for our drone. Trump did nothing to retaliate.

Give me a big break.

I think Trump's response was one of the most mature acts of any President in our lifetimes.
Yeah right with this response.

'MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN?

Unbelievable! Liar can?t respond to my post. But then he calls me out on his tagline.
What can I say? I guess I?m bigtime. (yawns)

#SendIranAnInvoice

If you don?t believe me look up 22nd amendment.

Eye phone ? these people can never answer a direct question w logic .

Notice all these responses boil down to ? I would rather trump do whatever batshit crazy ass stuff he is doing than _____ insert your favorite MAGA grievance here ______ ?

Question for those who are dissatisfied with the Trump presidency; can you tell me specifically what you don't like about the last two and half years: the peace or the prosperity?

i would rather trump not start a war with iran while keeping economic pressure on them, unlike obama who sent them pallets of cash while they violated the iran nuclear agreement anyway

hey! it worked!

The divisiveness it's caused.

Look at TI for example, through Clinton and 2 terms of Obama, arguments were never this heated such that people resorted to name calling.

Even more divisive than your unfailing devotion to Irvine real estate?  :D

Yes, there is a lot of divisiveness now. But I don't think it can be all due to Trump since a lot of the things he has done which supposedly is causing divisiveness were done others and the media and the establishment never uttered a peep:
Clinton kicked millions off welfare.
Clinton cigar raped an intern.
Feinstein built a massive wall at the San Yisidro border crossing.
Obama separated hundreds of illegal border crossers and their children at the border.
etc. etc.

And of course it was the racist GOP that gave us blanket amnesty for illegals (Reagan) and affirmative action (Nixon).

All I do is post about Trump's many accomplishments.  Then the libs get triggered.  Then they get owned.

In your case...

You extol Irvine's greatness.  Then the Tustin Legacy owners get triggered.  Then I normally skip the next 1-2 pages of posts because of all the nitpicking and arguing.

I'm joking around, but the divisiveness is here to stay, IHO.  Doesn't matter if Trump is President or not, social media is designed to create engagement through conflict, and the legacy news media will continue to get more extreme in their failed quest to secure more viewers/readers.

The only way to avoid the divisiveness is to check out altogether, which is actually what I've done.  I don't use social media, don't watch cable news (or any other live TV for that matter), don't listen to talk radio (AM or NPR), and only read the news through the prism of each outlet's known biases to try to separate the factual story from the hyperbole.

i agree with this. yes social media plays a major part, but the underlying cause is media outlets that play to our own inherent biases and are making a fortune by pitting us against each other.  we live in world of sound bytes because there is just too much information and not enough time to get the whole picture.
