NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I try do do most of my tax loss harvesting by mid-November. This allows me the option to buy back the position over 31 days later into the usual tax related selling. This strategy allows you to maintain the position in the portfolio, use the tax loss, and lower your cost basis at (hopefully) an even lower price. 👍🏽🇺🇸
curious if you still buy back in if price rallies during that 31-day window?

out of curiosity, why Oracle? Why not other stocks that have been sold off due to AI bubble concerns?
$ORCL is compelling for 2 recent news catalysts:
1. No backstop like government investment

2. TikTok

The TikTok part is interesting. I’d be curious to know how much cash it’s printing as a business.

Regarding the AI infrastructure play I think there are already many players here like CoreWeave and Nbis. It requires a good amount of spending and I’m honestly not sure if we need to have 10+ companies creating AI infrastructure. The cloud for example has AWS/Azure/Google as the main players. I could be completely wrong but personally don’t feel Oracle is going to succeed there.

Investing in Oracle is betting that they will plow through building data centers in Michigan and Wisconsin despite issues like construction delays and funding.

I’d also keep an eye out on robotics as they are a key component to automation. BOTZ ETF invests in companies that I like (ABB, FANUC, ISRG, etc).

While I was unemployed I put money in SPYI, QQQI and BTCI to earn interest to pay bills.

Since new job is starting, I exited some dividend positions this week and put the money in additional shares of BMNR, FIG, MRVL, MU, etc.

I opted for MU over INTC & Sandisk. Can’t say if this was the better decision, time will tell.
I hope you did!!

Add…$147.00 👍🏽🇺🇸
Most oversold it's ever been except for THE 52 week low but might as well see if the 52 week low holds I guess. :( Amazon won't help tomorrow. The 52 week low would make it even more oversold and down over 65%. It doesn't guarantee it won't go lower but with vix up, seems put premiums would be juiced cushioning any further blow if you wanted to buy it anyway.

Netflix has held up pretty well after getting beaten a few months ago.

200 day is approaching and RSI is just about there. What other good ones are you guys looking at.

I’m glad this thread is still going.

Not sure there is a lot of upside in the short term but I was thinking companies that will benefit from all the $$$ going to AI centers. CAT is holding up well. Going to see what else is doing ok, maybe an ETF to spread risk out.

Do u still have orcl? Getting pretty oversold here. Maybe buy it by selling some puts?

Added a little more Oracle and AMD.

Bought XOM for $130 couple weeks back.

Note: after consolidations, for self managed accounts my core position (2/3) in taxable is BRK-B, GPIX, & GPIQ and in IRA it’s Vanguard index funds. Only 1/3 of the money is in individual stocks and other ETF’s.
