Retail Openings and Closures

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Capital Noodle Bar @ Crossroads Shopping Mall (Barranca & Culver) is closed. Kuanzhai Alley is taking over. They have another location in Irvine near the Spectrum: https://www.yelp.com/biz/kuan-zhai-alley-irvine?osq=Kuanzhai+Alley

Chip Cookies, located next door, is also closed.
I just saw this the other day going to Target (I don't really like the Spectrum or Marketplace Targets).

Capital has been there for a long time.

I like Cookie Connection (the other cookie place where I think Silverlake Ramen is) before but yes... cookies in high-priced TIC strip malls are going to be tough to do.

Mr. Moto Pizza in Oak Creek finally opened.

It's been months since they were supposed to open so no idea what was the holdup. Almost the same exact set up as Brooklyn's Finest (aka New York Upper Crust). The pepperoni they use is the cupped pepperoni (like Sgt Pepperoni) which I prefer. $5-7 per slice but they have better slice specials than others, 2-slice and drink for $13 and a 3-slice and drink for $15... and available all day unlike Sgt which only does theirs at lunch. And for the opening, the 2-slice/drink is only $9.

They also have whole pizzas, salads and pasta.

It went to the Main/McArthur location before to try them out and glad they finally opened the Oak Creek one.

Finally tried out Mr. BBQ Jr. Their lunch special price is only Mon-Thu despite their other locations being Mon-Fri.

It was okay... the tablet ordering system is convenient but overall selection of meats is limited (I have a preference for thin sliced pork belly). I did like the bao buns and bulgogi fries.

I Can BBQ is the best to me for the $23.99 price point for weekday lunch. I think All That BBQ is at $29.99. Not sure what Gen and Shik are at.
I think Mr. BBQ Jr changed their policy so their lunch price ($23.99) is M-Fri now.

Also, their dinner is $33.99 which is a pretty good price for KBBQ at night. But I think I Can BBQ is now at $29.99 for dinner at their lowest tier.

I like this KBBQ price war action!

The one thing I don't like about Mr BBQ Jr is they don't have thin sliced pork belly... bacon!!!!
