Frankly, you can't believe a single measurement provided for actors or actresses.  It's all PR.

I've seen heights published as 5' 5", 5' 6" and 5' 7" seen weights ranging from 121 to 124 and seen measurements (the most consistent) of 34C - 26- 40 or 38.

So unless she's hollow like a cheap chocolate easter bunny or completely lacks any tone, I seriously doubt the weight.

i do believe the weight and height. muscle is 5 times as dense at fat. so 1 pound of fat is five time bigger than 1 pound of muscle.  a lot of those skinny victoria secret models are 5-9 to 5'11 and weigh 120 to 130 pounds.  so take that 5'9" and shrink it down to 5'5" and keep the weight the same and you have a muscle loaded JLO.

Iron man 3 - 6.5/10
We just saw it this weekend, I'm more of a 7.5/10.

I can see why a lot of comic book fans hate it, but I also like the choices they made regarding the elements from the comics.

Of the trilogy, this one was probably better than IM2 with the first being the best.

I also saw it over the week.  I'm a comic book geek so I wasn't thrilled with what they did to the Manderin and Extemis story line in the movie.  Great action, yes, sometimes over the top.  But it lacked the charm and polish of the 1st movie.  My wife, who knows nothing about the backstories of the villains, loved it.  Maybe it was made for the non comic book fan.  Almost like it was a Bay/Bruckheimer ridiculousness.  I give it 6/10 and that's being generous.  Wish I caught Star Trek instead, but that movie is getting panned also.  Don't have high hopes for the upcoming Thor and Captain America sequels either.  However, The Wolverine looks awesome based on the trailers.  Good thing cuz the first Wolverine sucked.

I think they treated Extremis okay.

Without spoiling the twist with The Mandarin... at least as a comic fan, you didn't see it coming.

Except in the comics, Stark has to get Extremis implanted in himself to battle the original Extremis  dude, not have a Iron Man Army.

SPOILERS!!!!!

Yeah... but I preferred that Stark used "outer" technology rather than injecting a "Super Soldier"-type virus into his system. I really didn't like the after-Extremis storylines where Stark has his own set of "super powers". I prefer him to be a mostly normal man who uses his intelligence, ingenuity and technology to battle "super powered" opponents (like Batman).

Fast and furious 6 - 8.5

Plenty of action as expected. An entertaining two hours. They do a tease of fast and furious 7. I won't spoil who the new character is going to be for those of u who plan to go see it. With the new guy F&F should be a heck of a flick

It's all over the intrawebz so you don't have to avoid the subject.  It's...ok I won't be a spoiler.  :)

Star Trek: Into Darkness on IMAX 3D

I'll give it an 8/10.    Frankly I was pleasantly surprised by the use of 3D, it didn't feel bolted on and it didn't distract or replace the story, it was a natural extension of it.

Bad parts...  $37 for two tickets, $19 more for two sodas and popcorn and $60 for the baby sitter.

Yeah, that's why we haven't been seeing many movies.

Man of Steel

I liked this adaptation a lot.  Definitely a different take and more serious, but works for this movie.  Tone and color is very Zach Snyder with a sprinkling of Chris Nolan.  This will be 100% a series of movies, based on box office and audience approval and I'm glad.  Easy 9/10.

Finally saw Man of Steel last night, I'll give it an 8/10.

Much better than what the critics were saying, Henry Cavill makes a pretty good Supes, although he should be taller.

Not sure of the Amy Adams as Lois Lane casting.

Lots of action... maybe too much (my kid said "Too much destruction"). I like how they built the story, I have some nitpicks, but overall, a good Superman reboot (unlike Superman Returns).

Despicable Me 2 - 8/10

Good sequel, not as surprising as the first because now you know who Gru and the Minions are but enjoyable and funny.

Lone Ranger - 8/10

It's funny, this movie is getting panned but we actually enjoyed it. Had humor and action and if you aren't too nitpicky, it's a decent Lone Ranger adaptation. Depp was his typical Jack Sparrow self... Armie Hammer looked the part, but the way they wrote the character was not "heroic" enough for me as the Lone Ranger.

Man of Steel  3/10

I think the writers outsourced some six year olds to write the battle scene. I think I have the minutes taken from the meeting.

(Six Year Old = SYO)

Adult Writer: Ok, I want you guys to write the best action fight scene you can think of.
SYO1: Zod punches Superman and Superman crashed into a building.
SYO2: Cool!  Then Superman flies into Zod and they both crash into a building.
SYO3: Then Superman punches Zod and Zod crashes into another building.
SYO1: Then Zod punches Superman and he crashes into another building.
SYO2: Then they both crash into a building.
SYO3: Cool!  Now a building can fall down!
SYO1: Then Zod punches Superman and Superman crashes into a different building.
SYO2: Now Superman punches Zod so he crashes into a building.
SYO3: Now another building can fall down!

Adult writer comes back and looks at the notes.  I think we need something different now.

SYO1:  Okay, Zod punches Superman really hard and Superman flies up (not into a building this time)
SYO3: Where can they fight now?
SYO2: Outer space would be cool!
SYO1: So Superman gets punched and ends up in outer space.
SYO3: Let's have him land on a satellite.
SYO2: Yeah, now Zod and Superman can fight on a satellite.
SYO3: Well there are no more building to fall down so let's have the satellite get destroyed.
SYO1 and SYO2: Awesome!
SYO3: Now they can go back to earth and fight more after they destroy the satellite.

Now all of the buildings are destroyed by the two of them crashing into each other or punching one another into the building.

The only worthwhile part was when they talked about how the fate of the newborns on Krpyton are predestined. That could lead to some great discussion.

However, I found myself sitting there literally asking myself, "am I really watching this happen right now?"

Watching Event Horizon tonight...and using my wireless headphones so I won't freak out my fam... one of the scariest movie of all time for me...

Been on an oscar binge recently:

Argo:  9.5/10...well done and entertaining.  Ending was a little too cliche but it's a movie.  Can see why it won the Oscar for best picture.

Silver Lining Playbook:  9/10.  Excellent acting and good writing.  A bittersweet romantic comedy.

Zero Dark Thirty:  9.5/10 Another excellent movie and every entertaining.  Good use of historical events to carry the plot.  Excellent acting.  Subject matter probably too grim to win the oscar.

Beasts of the Southern Wild:  7/10.  Excellent acting again...good concept and well delivered...but was a "journey" film, which I don't really care for.

Argo was great.

Man of Steel: If you're a fan of the comic books? (1/10). If you're an Average Joe (6/10). Everything was going according to expectations but the fight scenes were way overdone. A snooze fest, even thought they looked great just wayyyyy toooo muuuuuch. Had they sliced 1/2 hour off of the fights it could have been a great summer film.  To add a bit of salt to the wound we saw MOS at the RSM $$$$ Theaters. $38 to get in, $40 for food and adult beverages. I love the theaters as it filters out those who text during the movie and people who take crying babies with them to R rated films. A bit tough to justify the expense when you sit for that long and get served up a stinker.

Minority Report (9/10). Watched it again after several years since my last viewing. With this whole NSA thing framing the movie's contect it still holds up well. There is one brief scare scene in the film. Soylent Blue (a teen aged girl who is roughly 6ft tall) twiched her whole body about 2 feet off of her chair when it happened on screen. Made the viewing of the rest of the film even better.

I never understood why they gouged out their own eyes? Was it to prevent them from seeing the horror?

Yeah I think.. or in the words of Dr. Weir..

"Where we're going, we won't need eyes to see"

It wasn't as scary as I remembered... I actually like Sunshine better...

Stoker 5/10... what can I say....not my cup of tea... director is the one who did "Oldboy"..not a fan of Korean cinema in general.. always left me feeling uncomfortable and want to take a shower...nice camera work/editing though....

Can't Hardly Wait

1/10

A predictable, cheesy, cliche film. I would have given it 0/10 but I graduated high school one year prior to the characters in this movie, so, it gets one lousy point for nostalgia (clothing, music, lingo, etc.)
