Alabama asks Supreme Court to clear way for Republicans’ redrawn voting map​

Alabama urged the Supreme Court on Friday for an emergency order clearing the way for its redrawn congressional map that could boost Republicans’ chances of holding on to the House in November.

The ask landed just as Gov. Kay Ivey (R) signed the map, which lawmakers passed in response to the high court’s recent decision in Louisiana that weakened the Voting Rights Act.

He's not emotionally weak, even after those who are emotionally weak lob insults at him.

Over the last 6 years he has not taken a penny of over $2,500,000.00 in earned income….thats a chunk of legitimate earnings..even to a billionaire…You have to give him credit for that…not even saint Obama did that🤷🏽‍♂️😆😆😆👍🏽🇺🇸
 
I do like Trump is taking a hard line with Iran.

But the whole gerrymandering escalation looks like fear.

If morekaos was so confident in the strength of Trump, they would not have started in TX.

Looking at this independently, seems like the Republicans are scared what the midterms will do.

Given the war, the rise in gas prices, cost of everything and the drop in polls... it does seem like the right is not in the best position.

I always like a split government for balance, but at the same time, stuff doesn't get done.
 
I was very clear many months ago that the Dems should never have picked this fight…had they just accepted the Texas redistricting they would have only been short 5 seats…now they poked the bear and could lose as a any as 15 seats net..pick a fightyou can win…now they really get smacked down….🤷🏽😂😂😂😂👍🏽🇺🇸IMG_0031.jpeg

again I was not saying a mid term smackdown I was saying a smackdown in this little skirmish..again I make no predictions nor have I on the midterms…could go either way. Will depend on the economy closer to the election🤷🏽‍♂️👍🏽😆😆🇺🇸

The biggest difference is these higher prices are going towards a good cause, high energy prices under the Brandon administration funded the global warming scam, these higher prices will be temporary and worth the near term pain. 🤷🏽‍♂️😆😆😆👍🏽🇺🇸

Preventing global warming is a good cause if you understand the science.

And I’m not talking about why… I’m just saying you’re whining is situational. High prices are high prices, no one at the gas station is thinking “It’s for a good cause!”

of course it’s subjective, I have no problem if my tax dollars are spent on something that we need or support. Let me be explicit, like the president, Iran not getting a nuclear weapon is worth the expenditure….the US controlling world, energy, and having an advantage over every other country, including China is worth spending money on. Chasing unicorns and rainbows with no substantive benefit is not a good expenditure of my tax dollars.🤷🏽‍♂️👍🏽😆😆😆😆🇺🇸
 
Maintaining hegemony - petrodollar and military, a virtuous cycle - is critical for maintaining our living standards . Once you understand that core principle Trump’s foreign policy mostly makes sense. And he seems to be coming around on Ukraine given they’re the only military worth anything in Europe.
