I hate how gas prices are being rumored to go up because of this latest war.

I’m not just talking about CA, all states will raise prices because that’s what Big Oil does. This is a reason to pursue alternate energy.
"Big Oil" doesn't supply California' gasoline. "Big State Government" does. They alone screwed the pooch on production and refining capacity.
The rest of the nation might "suffer" through $3.50-$4.00 domestically sourced and refined gas, but our Bahamian sourced and refined refined gas supply will swiftly get us up and over $7.00 per gallon, with $10.00+ just in time for the mid-term elections.
Gas would be cheap here in California what with all the Venezuelan crude available, but you have to refine it, which again, is strictly a Newsom issue, not one created by The Tangerine Terror or the boogie man known as "Big Oil".
Trump / Iran aren't the problem. It's Governor Dippidy-Doo and his band of merry men giving us an early taste of their utopian fever dream of a world without ICE.

If California was basing off of $2.90/gallon like the rest of the country this wouldn’t hurt so much but judging from how fast this is going and the markets shrugging off the implications I don’t think a spike will Be long lasting if ever. All the more reason for us to cut taxation and regulation in this state and get us on a level field with the rest of the country….but i doubt the Morons in charge will endeavor to help…

It will only get bad in CA due to gross mismatch of largest population of ICE drivers vs limited gasoline supply - basic economics . I love my EV but you can’t force that choice and we tried subsidizing it and all that did was drive billions in losses for the bozo legacy automakers
