The California Air Resources Board proposed sweeping amendmentsexpanding the state’s Cap-and-Invest program. Under Cap-and-Invest, refineries have set emissions limits and must buy allowances from the state to exceed said limits. If signed into law, the amendments would revoke 118 million metric tons in emissions allowances.
In response, Chevron and others operating the state’s few remaining refineries are threatening to close down if Newsom signs new energy regulations into law. California gas is the most expensive in the nation, routinely running $1-2 per gallon over the national average due to taxes and regulations.

Irony how morekaos harping on ICE cars being better because of cheaper fuel but as soon as gas prices start jumping he blames Cali.
This is why we need alternate forms of energy. A war in Iran doesn’t cut off my sun or wind supply.

Wrong…this is why Drill baby drill!! was so important…I blame Cali prices on Cali but American energy indipendence was vital in this strategic move…oil prices will drop soon enough but California will always pay too much…

Hackers can’t hack the sun or the wind.
Don’t need the grid.

In a Mad Max world... corporate greed isn't what you worry about. And you can do analog with solar... you guys understand how technology works?

on the contrary…a greater commitment to cheap, readily available, relatively endless supplies of energy for all in fossil fuels is where we should be moving towards. It’s stupid to ignore the easiest, best and most available resource for expensive, inefficient alternative energy unicorns.
