Chevron Begins Key Oil Project in Gulf of America

Chevron on Monday announced a massive project, kicking off oil and natural gas production from the Ballymore subsea tieback in the Gulf of America, which is expected to produce upwards of 75,000 gross barrels of oil daily — another major move towards energy independence and dominance for the United States of America.

Truckers, builders celebrate repeal of carbon emissions rule for highways

Without the repeal, state transportation departments would have had to measure carbon dioxide emissions on federally funded highways, set goals for emissions reduction, and send the data to federal agencies.

“Under President Trump’s leadership, we are going to build great, big, beautiful things again. I slashed this ridiculous climate requirement to ensure no radical political agenda gets in the way of revitalizing America’s highways,” DOT Secretary Sean Duffy said.

Organizations representing truckers, contractors, and transportation officials involved in highway design praised the Trump administration’s decision.

“The so-called greenhouse gas performance measure would have forced states to put important infrastructure projects, like road and bridge improvements, on hold to fund projects that would do little to facilitate the movement of people and goods,” Alex Etchen from the Associated General Contractors of America said.

$60 oil is the sweet spot. If we get to that price and hold everybody is happy. The producers make lots of money the consumer is not too angry and the country exports a fortune and reduces its deficit. Couple that with the export of natural gas and that?s a formula for winning
Posted that in 2017 and here we are….👍🏽😂😂🇺🇸
Trump admin will boost Gulf of America oil production by 100K barrels a day under new drilling policy

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum announced that all offshore oil drilling in the Gulf will now be able to tap multiple reservoirs at the same time — and at far higher pressure than previously allowed — to immediately boost output by around 10%.

$2.00 Gas Here We Come!

In fact, under Trump’s second term, gas prices have done what the media won’t: come down to reality. They’ve returned to sanity—and the reason isn’t some magical OPEC wand-waving. It’s American energy, baby. It’s Trump unleashing the producers Biden tried to strangle with red tape, Green New Deal delusions, and climate cult policy.

Oil prices are backing up the pump data too. On May 3, 2025, Brent crude sat at $61.29 per barrel—down 20.4% from 2024, and down a jaw-dropping 46% from the $113.34 per barrel during Biden’s 2022 disaster. WTI crude followed suit, dropping to just $58.29.

Would still drive an EV at $1 gas prices. :)

This just makes renting an ICE for long road trips cheaper.
Wrong..you miss the point..lower oil means lower fuel prices, lower energy prices and lower INFLATION. One little input fixes most of the systems ails. Now we just need to rescind the stupid Minimum wage and we can really see a drop in inflation overall….a guy can dream.😴 😂😂👍🏽🇺🇸

Easy... I wasn't making a commentary on what lower gas prices would do to inflation (although I did allude to my road trips costing less).

I also agree about no minimum wage.

Promises Made, Promises Kept: Memorial Day Set For Lowest Gas Prices in Over 20 Years

Americans celebrating Memorial Day by hitting the road will likely be paying the cheapest gas prices since 2003.

GasBuddy, a fuel savings platform, said Tuesday that it forecasts the national average price of gasoline to be $3.08 per gallon on Memorial Day. That would make it the cheapest since 2021 in nominal terms. After adjusting for inflation, it would be the lowest since 2003.

This is not expected to be short-lived. Prices of gasoline are expected to average around $3.02 per gallon between Memorial Day and Labor Day, with prices falling below three dollars on some days.
