So recent posts have spurred this thread... anyone can participate and anyone can answer, but ask a question about your dream job, dream place to live, dream BMI (Homer!)...

I've always wanted to be a pro athlete (baseball when I was a kid) and seeing how much they get paid, I wish it would have happened.

If you could be a pro athlete in any sport, which sport would you pick?

I would pick the NBA obviously... you get to play basketball for a living and still get the summer off.

I always wanted to be pro player as well. My Mexican genes would not be of any help to get me there.

Cult leader was already taken, wasn't it? That's not a sport but something you could aspire to...

Pro surfer. Pay's good. Plenty of sun. Great locations to visit.  No better "faux" sport in the world, other than rhythmic gymnastics.

Ronaldo is a stud though!!

Mine would also be soccer...

Tennis for me...  still my fav sport to play.  Got zero game in basketball, hate running in soccer, and don't like any contact sports in general.  I do like golf, but just too boring and slow, perhaps when I'm much older.

Golf boring and slow?  That's what the beer and golf carts are for... What other sport can you drink and drive.  You can always punish yourself as well, walk and carry your bag through 27 holes in one day... I never been so sore in my life.

I think the other dream job for me would be an actor.

So next dream question:

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

Surprisingly, I would probably pick Newport Beach or CDM (!) on hill/cliff overlooking the ocean.

A very close second place would be a view lot Vicara Plan 3 in Quail Hill... it's not 3CWG, but it's 3CLG.

Loft up the hills. All white furnishings. Balcony overlooking city lights.

You guys still have dreams? I found I reached a certain age or stage in life where there were no more dreams about what will be -- there is just what there is. The story has already been written. Our lives have unfolded. We are not dead, of course. There is more life to live. But "what will I be when I grow up", "where will I live", etc. have already been answered. We know who we will marry, where we will live, our kids are half grown, and if we haven't bought our dream home by now we never will. There is not much exciting stuff left to look forward to except grandkids and our dirt naps.  :)

:) Hey! There is retirement! Don't ruin it for me :)
That said, everyone will buy at least another house...

If you could be any ethnicity, which would you pick?

Instead of Austrian, I think I would go AustrALian... better accent. But I need the caveat of being athletic enough to play in the NBA.

You'll be the next Luc Longley.
